New week, new prompt! This one seems obvious, but we've got some bonus points in, if you want to win them! Mark damn sure did and Rebecca failed spectacularly. Rebecca switches things up and goes first when her prompt this week gave her two story ideas, but she wasn't thrilled with either. Mark on the other hand had something that could be a story left as is, or advanced if he wanted to follow. They also attempt to speak on the topic of mental health and writing, but Rebecca's animals were causing a bit of a disturbance. What will you come up with? Something Nice? Or something else? Mark's prompt this weeks stumps the both of them a bit. Mark comes up with a concept that terrifies Rebecca, especially with the an unexpected reappearance. In the 12th episode of YOU Killed the Priest, writers Mark Hermann and Rebecca Galardo follow a Rebecca's prompt, The Banned Religion. Mark creates a spooky and old-school atmosphere with his unnamed, unknown religion while Rebecca manages to thoroughly depress Mark (and possibly listeners, sorry) with her concept. As usual, the two have gone completely separate routes to creating the work: Mark's is a story, Rebecca's a fleshed out background of a culture and the religion it created. In the 11th episode of YOU Killed the Priest, writers Mark Hermann and Rebecca Galardo follow a new prompt, one of Mark’s. The Cursed Object! Mark truly harrowing curse. Rebecca has two curses to share and Mark - as always - has very strong opinions about one in particular. Rebecca also shares her husband's idea from last week, but one that fits both Long Term Carry On and The Cursed Object. In the 10th episode of YOU Killed the Priest, writers Mark Hermann and Rebecca Galardo follow a new prompt, one of Rebecca's Long-Term Carry On. Mark creates a heartrending narrative while Rebecca explains her own failure to completely work through the prompt - leading to Mark giving several good possibilities for it. In the 9th episode of YOU Killed the Priest, writers Mark Hermann and Rebecca Galardo the second half of Mark’s prompt from last week, which was an either/or prompt but we decided to do both! Today’s prompt is: Happy Your Burn Place! Mark felt he failed to capture the right vibes, but Rebecca thought he nailed it! Rebecca, on the other hand was completely unsure. Both created actual stories this time. No surprise, Rebecca’s is set in her current world of Fulton Hills. Both explain their processes and what they felt they loved or got wrong. Because of this we now have two episodes based on one prompt (with an either/or option, but we chose to do BOTH). Burn Your Happy Place! Mark followed the prompt and ended up (even after a disastrous loss of work) with a very creepy horror snipet, a piece that would work into any length of story. Rebecca came up with the plots to two stories, more fascinated with the one with her already-created FH version of gremlins, but she intends to use both in future works.
