What happens when a child experiences sexual abuse? What happens inside of them - to their brain and body? What kinds of external responses might we see? And what happens, if we discover that the exact same atrocity happened to their mother or father? How can they heal and move beyond the trauma to lead whole, happy, healthy lives? Enter the brilliant work of places like the Children's Center for Hope & Healing (⁠www.HopeAndHealingGA.org⁠).The Children's Center for Hope & Healing's mission is to restore dignity, trust, and hope to individuals and families traumatized by child sexual abuse through accessible and effective therapy, advocacy, and education. Rape Response has carried out its mission to provide support, advocacy, and education, providing services to survivors of sexual assault while safeguarding the dignity of each person served since 1988.
