Today we learn the facts about how Diet Coke tastes better from a soda fountain machine---especially if that drink is coming from McDonalds with a lime wedge. Melissa Peter is the founder and program director for Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack. On this episode she tells us what a food desert is and how God is using her and a cast of literally THOUSANDS to help the underserved in Houston. Bayou City Blessings started feeding 50 children in 2012 and serves close to 1200 students on a weekly basis in three different area schools. She is a testament to what God can do with tenacity, a HUGE heart and sprinkling of creativity.
