The past couple of seasons have been tough for UConn basketball. Entering this season the Huskies had endured three straight losing seasons, and no current players had ever made the NCAA Tournament. Right from the start this year's team clearly had more talent and a higher ceiling, but frustrating loss after frustrating loss demonstrated how far the group still had to go.

But then, UConn turned things around. The Huskies started winning, started beating good teams, and down the stretch it suddenly felt like UConn had finally turned a corner and was capable of a real run in March. The biggest test came on Senior Night, when UConn welcomed No. 21 ranked Houston to Gampel Pavilion and picked up arguably the program's biggest win in years thanks to the heroics of senior Christian Vital, who had experienced all the lows and finally got his moment to shine.

Daniel Connolly from The UConn Blog joins the show today to talk about his experience watching this game from the crowd, what the past few years have been like from a student's perspective, and what Christian Vital has meant to UConn basketball.
