Coming back for a re-listen!!! Yellowjackets Buzz is by far my Favorite Yellowjackets Podcast! Glenn & Issa have smart and funny conversations examining the show and theories surrounding it! They have great chemistry and are not too flooded with other content and they remember things and see connections from season 1 & 2. I definitely recommend !

This podcast is great. Never insult to intelligence or humor. Glen brings the expertise in screen writing and Issa (my Puerto Rican antler queen) bring a twist of sassy humor while they both simultaneously breakdown theories and facts of YJs. Great listen.

I don’t think getting adult Melissa equals losing adult Lottie and adult Van. Both Simone Kessell and Lauren Ambrose didn’t want to go like Juliette Lewis did. Lottie and Van were much vibrant characters than Melissa so I hope Swank just isn’t there for budgetary Emmy/Oscar clout. I was a bit furious too!

First of all, big fan of Yellowjackets. That being said, I have tried a few podcasts about YJ and I do think this one is the best. It’s well structured, the hosts are great, I enjoy episodes during the interim where they’ve even had some actors from the show to come on! This may seem like a small thing, but I also think having someone from a later generation (Glenn) really adds to the show as he talks about the 1997 scenes and the music. I’m a 1985 baby, so I was a couple years younger than the characters in the 1997 scenes. I do remember the styles the music etc. So I enjoy that commentary. I listened to another popular podcast about this show, and the oldest host was born in the 90s (I think 91) - so they don’t have the same perspective since they were so young. Again, a small thing (some people are saying why does it matter) but I feel like it makes a difference for me. I do think the back and forth and discussing theories between Glenn and Isa is great. Again, I’ve tried a few other podcasts but I keep coming back to this one. Keep doing what you’re doing! Love the episodes.

Just started listening . Glen is fantastic in every way . Isa is insufferable. She brings very little to the podcast. This just isn’t where her expertise lies and I really want to continue listening , but I don’t think I can. Would be 5 stars if Glen did this solo or with someone who is better suited for this type of podcast.

I’m a GenXer who is obsessed with the show. After trying all the YJ podcasts, I’ll say this one is by far the best. Glenn and Isa are truly fans of the show and not just doing a podcast on one of 10 other shows they’re doing podcasts about. They catch all the small details and they enhance the fan experience with their commentary.

Glen is thoughtful and funny. I’m new to this podcast but I do not understand Isa’s contribution. She’s not insightful or funny. Was tough to listen to at times.

I really enjoy this podcast! It’s clear that the hosts love the source material and get a lot of joy from consuming it together and sharing with the community. It doesn’t have perfect sound quality or studio level production but it’s crafted with a lot of intentionality. Glenn has some really enjoyable perspective and brings a nice lightheartedness to appropriate moments. I really enjoy how enthralled he is in the music selection. He also makes a consistent effort to engage the guests in meaningful commentary. I do have some concerns about Isa. Season 1 commentary she’s a welcome comedic note. Season 2 she’s recording at 3am and I think it really blunts her commentary and comedic perspective. It results in a sort of unlikable cocktail of “No, but” interruptions and ineffective heightening of jokes. She is truly incapable of taking herself out of her own perspective and if she reminds Glenn she grew up on an island one more time 💀. All this to say, I’ve listened to almost every episode that’s been released and look forward to catching up and listening as season 3 gets released. Thank you for the generous act of fandom love.

The TV show is great! But, the podcast hosts are remarkably boring making this a horrible podcast.

I recently found this podcast and love it! I think Glen and Isa have great cohost chemistry and personalities that really complement each other. Isa is hilarious and I listen maybe even more for her lil quips 🤣 people forget that good podcasting isn’t just a thoroughly researched podcast, but a fun listen!

I love Glen's dissection of the show, but I cannot stand Isa. Her voice is annoying and very often she doesn't add anything substantial to the show like new revelations and just piggybacks off of Glen's ideas or goes on tangents.

I’m sorry but Isa needs to go. Glen is doing 100% of the work here as far as dissecting these episodes and not just chiming in with obnoxious and painfully unfunny quips. PLEASE bring on another host that can actually engage in a meaningful conversation about the show

I recently binged this show and tried to find a podcast to accompany it. I landed on this one because Glen provides such great insight, predictions, and overall breakdowns. Isa is honestly so insufferable though. Every idea or prediction someone presents, she jumps right in with “I thought that too” or “I already guessed that”. It really feels like she wants credit for every good take and make everything about herself. Hoping Glen does something with a new cohost for season 3 and beyond.

But I need you to look into placenta previa. It would save 30 mins of discussion when neither of you have a clue

Glen is a fantastic host, he comes to the podcast with solid recaps and thoughtful takes from the show while still having a sense of humor. Isa’s complete lack of media literacy makes the show unlistenable. She constantly interrupts Glen with comments that make it sound like she’s never watched this show or with comments that sound like they’re supposed to be jokes but are not funny at all. I’ve never heard two more unmatched podcast hosts.

Love listening to Isa and Glen! In their last episode they promised some off season shows while we wait for season 3. Looking forward to seeing those!

I love how quickly these episodes come out, but it’s worth waiting for the better recap podcasts. Isa’s constant interrupting to add nothing insightful or interesting is getting gnarly. Over it

I enjoy hearing your thoughts about the show, the theories you discover on Reddit, and I love hearing about Glenn’s cats and Isa’s dog! I am also an animal lover and quite concerned about Steve. Looking forward to any post-season shows you may have after we have all had time to “digest” the finale. I would love for you two to do an “Evil” podcast! That’s another great show that can prompt all kinds of discussion.

Not bad. Def not my first go-to for episode recaps but I like how soon they come out. To be honest, the woman on this podcast is just not the vibe for this kind of show. She doesn’t seem to understand character depth and nuance. But the hosts seem to get along well and props to the female host for coming through even when she was sick.

Yes, it’s always tough when it comes to the end of series. Super sad but you guys always help see different angles of the show. Y’all have been on point with each episode with insights that can make the show even better! It is going to be a long wait till the next season and YellowJacket Buzz which I hope we may get something in the off season. Y’all are such a fun podcast, and not annoying as some can be. Every week, one of the hosts asks about Steve the dog. Lots of discussion about dogs and cats (I love dogs and cats, btw). Lots of laughing at their own jokes. Background dog barks have happened on several episodes (it’s okay I guess). Good analysis of the show.

Love listening to this podcast post episodes, and sad that season 2 is over. You guys kill it every week and your hot takes are always fun to listen to!

I am sorry to leave this review but it’s rough you guys. I was excited to try this podcast because they were so on top of posting right after this episode and was so excited to hear insight and conversation from others who obviously in depth watch this series…the amount of self possessed dialogue and comparisons were unbearable by the end of this episode. I’m sorry please stop comparing your life to situations where the storyline surrounds survivors from a freak plane crash aa teens, cannabalize eachother, have a still born baby and starve in extreme elements to growing up hard. I’m sorry for anything you went thru but how do you spend the majority of this episode talking about what you would have done and wax poetic about yourself but not delve into the writing or plot or any relevant Easter eggs. I’m sorry you don’t typically kill bugs but I am frustrated to have listened to this entire episode giving it the benefit of the doubt and leaving knowing about bud light zero being a vegan and name anagrams which have nothing to do with anything if significance.

I’m always looking for new podcasts so I can “watch” tv shows with other people, and this Yellowjackets podcast is amazing. Glenn and Isa are really good at picking out details and nuances in the show, things I never would’ve noticed myself. Also Glenn is right — Isa should watch Evil, if she likes messy/dark/hilarious shows!

I remembered why I stopped listening to this last year. Glenn is a good host but I do not care for Isa. A better co-host and some editing would be make the show great.

Glenn is awesome but the co-host leaves a lot to be desired. It’s clear there are some concepts and finer points with the show that go over her head. She doesn’t bring a lot to this pod, IMO. Glenn, you’re amazing! Kudos to you for putting up with the inane banter from Isa.

I can’t even listen to this. The man sounds fine but the woman’s voice is loud and piercing. Just produce better.

The most accurate recaps along with the hosts actually being fans of the show. Even when questioning story points never sounding like they would do it better. I look forward to hearing their opinions and the rehash more than any other show pod I’ve tried of Yellowjackets or any other show for that matter. I really hope Yellowjackets get the full five years and this pod continues as companion.

Love the podcast and recap, but Isa - please get better audio equipment!!

One of the female hosts, BJ, takes away from the synopsis and analysis by intertwining her own emotions into it. The comment “I hate men” really didn’t sit well with me and I am a woman. It’s a broad statement and based on all of their accolades and experiences they have mentioned about themselves, it also seems like a lazy statement. It also feels quite rude when they’re about to interview the actor who plays Travis in whom this comment was referenced around. I love the other two hosts but the last episode was hard to get through. Only listened because I really enjoy the show and do like the analysis and theories.

Perfect companion to the show- gives you information on creator interviews, Reddit theories, and details you may have missed.

So far, this has been my favorite YellowJackets recap podcast. They do a great job of going back over the episodes and bringing up details I missed, as well as going into all the crazy speculation and theories about each episode. Both hosts are really great, and a ton of respect to Glenn for diving deep into Reddit just to make sure he got all the details. I also enjoy the perspective of the guests on the show, since it usually shakes up the usual dynamic with Issa and Glenn. I also can’t wait to get more interviews and bonus episodes now that the first season is over :)
