Growth isn't just something we gain overnight. From my experience so far in this life, it takes time, as much as I hated hearing that it's comforting for me now. The reality is any form of growth like tending a garden takes maintenance. We should learn to cultivate joy in the maintenance of the things we cherish. To gain isn't enough to call it growth to accomplish longevity is the real deal.
