Actually relevant and diverse
Danielle and Amanda take the time to ensure their selections represent a diverse array of demographics and topics. I love that they split the podcast in half so if you haven't read the book yet, you don't get any spoilers. This podcast is excellent for any middleschool or high school English teachers or individuals who enjoy YA/MG literature. Highly recommend.

Amazing and helpful!
I’m a YA librarian and although I wish I had time to read every new title, of course I don’t. This podcast helps me keep up with a broad swath of teen lit, and also is a fun way to dive deeper into books I have read. Love it!

Let me wipe my tears first...
This is an amazing podcast and the last episode I listened to (The Hate U Give) covers all of the things I wanted to discuss with others about the differences from the book. Your episode made me cry; it not only *authentically* brings up topics we should all be discussing together, but makes me want to be a better ally for POC--and to be an accomplice! Thank you for this!

I’m Officially Addicted
I am a high school ELA teacher and my intention was to check this out to hear about books to put in my classroom. I never expected to become obsessed. I literally listened to 3 episodes in a row the first time I listened, and one went I went for a walk that evening. I eventually caught up and I absolute love it! I cannot pick just one episode to rave about; They are all done so fantastically, and I cannot wait for more to come!

So happy I listened!
I’m a newbie listener. Listened to ‘Monday’s not coming’ and I absolutely enjoyed the flow of conversation & of course the book! Even though I listened all the way through, I will be picking this one up. Courtney & Anna’s perspectives were both so refreshing & real. I could totally relate to their feelings on the book. Now, I’m hooked! Clicking on ‘Children of Blood & Bone’ as soon as I submit this. Keep up the great work!

Listened to the Children of Blood and Bone episode. Thoughtful and engaging discussion. I liked all the different perspectives and the willingness to discuss how the events in the book correlate to the real world. I’ll definitely subscribe if other episodes are as in-depth as this one.

Makes me want to join the conversation
These gals' smart book talks make me want to pull up a chair and join the conversation, and will definitely prompt me to move some of these titles up to the top of the to-read pile more quickly!

Such a great perspective
Love hearing about YA books from people who are critically-minded but who genuinely love the genre.

Love the insight!
I teach Language Arts to ELL students in middle school. While I want to model good reading strategies I need relatable, high-interest books too! These synopsis and opinions help me cover more ground than I’d ever be able to cover on my own. Thanks ladies!
