Agenda:Pharmacy Schools Update Dean Julie Akers from Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dr. Ryan Hanson, Chair of the Pharmacy Department at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy will provide program updates and priorities. Invasive HIB Outbreak - Alaska, Oregon and Washington have seen cases of invasive HIB in adults experiencing homelessness, drug use or smoking. MMWR and EpiTrends. WSPA Staff are members of the state workgroup to evaluate vaccination and outreach options.  Cyclosporiasis Outbreak - This parasite is best treated with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, and is not (yet?) a cause for concern in Washington. Medicaid increases morphine equivalent threshold to 200 MME for certain diagnoses including hospice, palliative care and end of life starting 8//1. Agenda:Drug Take-Back Program Sunset Review The Drug Take-Back Program was created in the legislature to go through January 1st, 2029, and is undergoing a review. This review will make a recommendation to change, continue or terminate the program.
