I listened to the Gen XY story/interview and thought it was a thoughtful conversation. I’m definitely going to check out more episodes.

I appreciate this show and find the advice and stories from writers and adjacent to be very valuable. The AI information lately is mind blowing- thanks for making this an essential part of the discussion for future writers.

Need to hear more from the quest and less of the host. It plaques most podcast. With the exception of “ I’ll Drink To That”. The host, Levi Dalton is extremely knowledgable on the main topic but asks a question and gets out the way until the quest is finished replying. He understands it’s not about him, it’s about his quest.

It’s just an interview show. Mostly about the interviewee’s background and the topic of the book. If the subject of the interviewee’s book isn’t inherently useful to writers, expect as little as 2-5% of the episode to be about craft or process.

This show does a great job into diving into the back stories of creatives to understand how they got where they are.

Loved the interview with Dave Asprey! He's an eccentric brilliant guy although exercise does seem to be the cure to a healthy lifestyle too.

Required listening for any aspiring writers.

I will confess that there are very few podcasts that don’t get annoying or boring to me after a while. This is one of them. The topics are reliably interesting, even if I’m skeptical going in, and the host is humble and funny and easy to listen to. I’m an editor and writer, but I think this show would appeal to anyone with an interest in reading or writing.

I’ve enjoyed Jon Small’s podcast since the beginning, and my enthusiasm has been growing of late, with so many different angles and fascinating guests… as a writer, I was drawn from the beginning; as a listener, I’m just digging the show!

Wonderful show, filled with knowledgeable people chatting about various aspects of writing. The host, Jonathan Small, is a true pro. He asks interesting questions and seems to have great rapport with his guests. Overall, a top-notch pod.

I subscribe to several high-quality writing podcasts, and Jonathan’s obvious talent for interviewing sets “Write About Now” apart from the crowd. He’s affable, funny without being annoying, and genuinely interested in his guests’ stories, backgrounds, and perspectives on craft and career, etc. Nothing about this podcast is precious, which I appreciate. Each time I listen it’s as if I’m sitting down with Jonathan and his guest at a neighborhood pub, having a down-to-earth yet fascinating chat about writing, our favorite thing. So, yeah, treat yourself to a frothy pint of writing advice, life wisdom, and fun—give this one a listen!

Specially for those like myself; beginners looking for direction and inspiration through the perspectives of those who came before. I did the right thing; subscribed subsequently.

This is fast becoming one of my fav podcasts! Jonathan Small is an excellent interviewer and has fascinating guests. Listen with a pen and paper in hand to maximize all that is podcast has to offer.

This podcast is my favorite kind — the kind that at once entertains and drops a veritable wealth of knowledge. Jonathan Small asks just the right questions at just the right time, which allows his guests to share their journeys in an honest way and give valuable insights into their specific writing domain.

I’m obsessed with this podcast. As a writer (books, feature articles) I could listen to other writers discuss their process all day long, and this has given me the opportunity to do just that. I find the strength of this podcast lies in how many unique types of writers he speaks to! I love hearing the day to day process and hurdles and exciting challenges that different kinds of writers face. And Jon is a perfect interviewer—always asking what you want him...along with great Qs you didn’t realize you wanted to know.

The guests are accomplished, and they generously share their knowledge of the writing game. The interviews are breezy, yet informative. I recommend anyone who’s interested in writing and reading give this pod a listen. You’ll learn a lot and here some great stories!

Once again Jon Small delivers a great interview with another extraordinary writer. This podcast was most enjoyable and I would highly recommend listening. A great podcasts for wannabe and established writers.
