For listeners who to the podcast, Babyg is a Culture Journalist attaining her B.A. in Communications and Media Studies. Babyg is a senior attending Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC.  Babyg recently was chosen on the behalf of Fayetteville State to represent her HBCU in the new Black News Channel (+ BNC) GO HBCU Journalism Project. BNC introduced this project to 50 HBCUs across the country. Babyg currently holds a spot as one of the 8 finalists to move past the first round after demonstrating top-tier journalism and article writing. Babyg has secured votes to help better her chances to enter into the final round of the project. The Final Four will receive a paid 2022 Summer internship with BNC.  On the call, Babyg is interviewed by Fayetteville Observer Culture Journalist, Akira Kyles. BNC Rep, Philtrina Farquharson, filled Ms. Kyles in about The Black News Channel and what the program aims to do for HBCU students while on the call.
