One of the questions that plague our society today is a question of identity - who am I, why do I exist, and where do I go to discover my purpose in life? What does it mean that God predestines people for salvation? Does the Bible teach that men and women have no say in whether they are damned or not? While this issue is complex the Bible clearly delineates an answer to the question, and it is an answer that should leave us encouraged and grateful that God would choose to save anyone, much less, sinners, like us.

Well, the truth is that the government is supposed to be the servant of the people—a servant who ensures the well-being of its citizens and punishes those who transgress God's laws. Yet government today is anything but a servant because Christians have sat idly by and watched while governments have snatched authority they were never meant to have - all the while setting themselves up as gods to be worshipped. But there is only one government and one governor who rules over all, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Christians must resist  unjust governments, this is not done through violence but through the gospel and authority of Jesus, since all human government is accountable to Him.
