God’s Book Of Unfinished Business, Part 1As we come into Revelation chapter five, it is a doozy! A book is revealed in heaven that MUST be opened—but no one in the entire universe is found worthy to open it! It is so traumatic to John, he bursts into weeping! Yes, even in Heaven! So, just what is this “book?”Audio (MP3) Notes (PDF)Recap in 10 TweetsWhereas everything in Rev. 4 was centered on the THRONE, everything in Rev. 5 centers on a BOOK. #WordStrongIt is apparent by John’s reaction in Rev. By comparing Scripture with Scripture, we learn that this book is actually the “Title Deed of the Earth.” #WordStrongUnderstanding what this book is, we understand why God ultimately included the provision of the Kinsman-Redeemer in His Word. #WordStrongThe requirements of the Kinsman-Redeemer in the OT was that he had to be a BLOOD RELATIVE, he had to be ABLE…and WILLING. #WordStrongAs our Kinsman-Redeemer, Jesus became our BLOOD RELATIVE, and was both ABLE and WILLING to redeem us. #WordStrongA search is made in heaven for someone in heaven, on the earth and under the earth, to open the book. #WordStrongThe question being asked about opening the book wasn’t who was WILLING to open it, but who was WORTHY to open it! #WordStrongThe strong angel asks, “Who is WORTHY to open the Book?” And there is absolutely NO REPLY from the entire universe! #WordStrongJohn then did something that no man to that point had ever done in heaven…He WEPT! In fact, he wept MUCH! #WordStrongThe post Revelation 5:1–4 [Session 47] appeared first on #WordStrong.
