In 2020, we quit our full time jobs to become full time loan signing agents and notaries. It started off great, but after a year, the real estate market changed and we had to change our direction with it. That's when we quit being full time notaries and Lee broke into tech as a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS). We've had a wild ride, but despite that we do miss doing loan signings and being notaries at times. There was a lot of good in the industry as well and in this video, we discuss how we felt about being notaries and loan signing agents and the market shifting. It was great being a full time notary while it lasted and we still stay current on our notary commissions just in case. In this video, we talk about coping with the loss of a parent at a young age. Clarissa lost her mother at age 16 years old and Lee lost his father a 9 years old. Very recently, Clarissa lost her biological father to a drug overdose. We discuss how it feels to lose a parent and how we've been dealing with that lost. A lot of us have lost parents at a young age and even if you lost a parent at an older age, it is never easy to cope with it. Mental health is very important, so if you're dealing with the lost and grief, then it's important to seek professional help from a mental health professional. Getting news about the third round of Amazon Layoffs was not what we were wanting to get, but we are trusting God. In this episode, we tell a story about an experience our daughter had at her school. It made us worry about her environment and want to change her school. We also talk about passing down worry to your children and modeling the behavior you want to see in them. Kids are always watching their parents and how they react in situations. We want to pass down healthy traits and faith in God. We want our kids to see us be strong in our faith and watch us serve God faithfully. Worrying is a waste of time and the best way to parent is to be a good role model. Show your kids how you want them to act. This is an area we are working on!
