WinTrade Global Talks have had an array of inspiring and fabulous speakers over the last three months. The trend continues with our next impressive speaker. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Lady Valerie Corbett will have us glued to our screens presenting her specialised subject, “Reinventing Yourself”. Her conversation with us is particularly relevant now when you consider the major upheaval imposed on small, large and micro businesses as a direct result of the pandemic.

Underpinning Lady Val’s, (as she is affectionately known) presentation on personal reinvention is her core belief of empowering women. “Women lead differently from men, not better.” She mentions admiringly, citing the countries who have had the most success managing COVID-19, are women-led. She also has a firm belief that the world would be in a different place is the majority of the countries across the globe were women-led.

Throughout the conversation of personal reinvention, Lady Val, leads by example. She freely admits that she has reinvented herself no fewer than seven times; from her first profession as a youngster within journalism, to where she is today as a substantial penal reform campaigner.
