Time really does fly when you're Winging It!
Feels like yesterday that the idea of Wing It was just a twinkle in our eyes. And now two seasons, two years and a pandemic later, we have come to the end of our second season and the beginning of some very exciting and very big chapters in both our lives.
From unemployment to new jobs, moving flats, financial ups and downs, a few weekend breaks here and there and an actual baby, Yonnie and Aiysha have been on a journey to say the least. It's time to say goodbye FOR NOW and we will be returning for another season very, very soon.
Have a listen in to some nostalgic chit chat as we look back on past guests and favourite episodes. Make sure you catch up on any you missed and we are still here to answer any questions about any of the topics we have discussed!
Thank you to everyone who has listened in, supported us, sent in questions and feedback. It has been amazing to say the least and we would love for you to continue sending in feedback and questions! But for now, have a lovely Christmas and New Year and that's a wrap on 2021 folks!
See you soon,
Aiysh and Yonnie xxx

As Aiysha is approaching her due date, we thought this would be the perfect time to spill the beans on all things pregnancy. And not just the stuff you get taught in school science lessons but all the stuff NO ONE tells you.
For the ladies AND the fellas, whether you're planning to have kids in the future or are just interested in what growing a human entails, then have a listen to Aiysha revealing the mental, physical and psychological challenges that she has come across over the last 8 - 9 months, not to mention all the perks and the exciting stuff that we are so looking forward to in January! So let's debunk the myths and get re-educated!

As we approach the end of yet another year filled with uncertainty, there does seem to be some distant hope on the horizon. So this week, join Aiysha and Yvonne for a conversation we have been waiting for for a long time: TRAVELLING!!!
And we're not talking just casual one or two week holidays. This is the kind of travelling that gives you experiences and teaches you things that a classroom never can.
As two language students who spent a lot of our university degree abroad, you can be sure that we give the full insights into living, travelling, exploring, studying and working abroad. Yes, Brexit and COVID may have an impact going forwards but there will be a time in the distant future where travelling may become a normality for us Brits again.
So from France to Spain to Germany to Morocco to Japan to Pakistan, join us on a little one hour international tour where we escape the travel restrictions and reminisce about the good ol' traveller days whilst the giving the highs and lows of living abroad.
DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded before the rise and spread of the Omicron variant so please continue to travel responsibly and safely!

The perfect abode
To rent or to buy? To buy or to rent?
At some point during our early adult life, it’s a decision most of us will come across.
And Aiysha and Yvonne are here to share some insights into the advantages and disadvantages of both.
Whatever stage you’re at in life, remember there’s no right time to rush into a decision. But it’s always a good idea to do the research and be informed about what is best for you. With the experience of both renting and buying, we talk about the process, finances, budgeting, what to look out for when looking for properties and what to do if you run into problems.
Let us know if you’re in the process of renting or buying and have any questions or insights of your own!

How do I ask for a pay rise? Am I the only one feeling like this? How do I know when it's time to leave my job?
In this special episode of Wing It, Aiysha and Yvonne discuss the pit falls of entering the working world as a newbie, whether that be a school leaver or graduate. Knowing when to say no, the difference between not showing "resilience" vs. being taken advantage of and the importance of gut feelings are just some of the hurdles we have had to face when leaving university and starting work as a young adult. Confidence and awareness are of course things that come with time and experience but we hope this episode helps you to identify some of the red flags that you'll definitely want to watch out for when making decisions about careers, managers, and companies.
We wanted to summarise the red flags that we've previously encountered in the workplace, and of course, we want to hear if there's any more that you think the Wing It community should be made aware of!
Poor management
If you cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel/no changes happening anytime soon
Go with your gut instinct
If you feel you are being treated unfairly - yes unfortunately bullying can still happen in the workplace
When others feel the same way as you (you can't ALL be wrong)
Physical signs - listen to your body!
When you're made to feel guilty for being ill and/or taking annual leave

Welcome to another episode of Wing It where Yvonne and Aiysha are digging deep this week into not only the Palestine-Israel war, but the impact of Western imperialism on the world. We reflect on the shocking and inhumane treatment of Western powers towards countries based on the biased attitudes that have shaped the world into what it is today.
Despite our school history lessons being limited to 19th and 20th century Europe, education and awareness are all key to making the smallest changes in our lives that could bring about the biggest differences.
Here are some resources that could help make small steps towards expanding our knowledge and awareness of western atrocities and preventing it from happening again:

Relationships are always a big talking point but we rarely talk about the heartbreaks, challenges and beauties of friendships. The friends who are always there for you, the friends who come and go, the friends who are like siblings and the friends who are always up for anything.
Today, join Yvonne and Aiysha as we chat to Ellis, one of Yvonne’s longest and closest friends on how the pandemic has affected our friendships, how previous experiences have shaped these relationships and how this has continued to change and develop with age.
We hope you enjoy this episode and in celebration of the Friends Reunion, remember that no matter how much of a joke your life is, how broke you are or how much your love life’s DOA, your true friends will be there for you whatever it takes, through a pandemic, through a podcast and through the ups and downs of your life.
Enjoy!
