In this episode I dive into the History of kingship in Macedonia throughout the late 5th and early 4th century up to the time of Philip II of Macedonia in 359 BCE providing necessary background for the multi part series on the Life of Philip of Macedonia. This story is one that is less told than that of his son, Alexander the Great. Philip, however, through my research appears to be as interesting if not more interesting than his son for his life and accomplishments.
