Before my daughter is born, I wanted to let my thoughts be known about her.
If it sounds like I am reading off something, I am. I wrote this article for her, and am reading it here.

Last week I made one of sobriety.
One year clean from everything.
This was arguably the hardest thing I have ever had to do in life.
But I made it.

After reading Sahil Bloom's article on being a time billionaire (sahilbloom.com), the thought hasn't left my mind.
Time is the one asset we can become rich with, but never have enough of, depending on our age. What we do with our time, is completely up to us.

The hardest thing for each of us to do, is to be proud of ourselves and the work we have done.
It's easy to criticize. It's easy to share other people's work. We can be our own harshest critics at times.
I'm guilty. Everyday I'm guilty of this. It's hard to look in the mirror, and say, "I am. I did this. This is what I have become. This is my work and I am proud of it."
Here, I promote my latest book, "Life, Death, and Everything in Between: My Time as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer," available on Amazon and Gumroad.

May is mental health month. Take the time to breathe, to inhale, to exhale, and to do something (anything) for yourself.
You deserve. I deserve it. We all deserve it.

We create so much hostility and worry within ourselves. And for what? For something that may, or may not, happen.
Plan for tomorrow, but think about today. Let go of the negative, self-doubt, and set your mind free for once. Just try it. Don't even think about it.

Stop. Collaborate and listen.
Just think about it. Your time. Our time. What we have done. What we can and will do. Who we are. Who we want to become.
If you think about all that you are, have been, and will be, is that not what our lives are about?
In life, until death, with everything in between.
Thanks for listening to "Who Am I? w/ Noah Watry."

The definition of insanity, is often described as "doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting a different result."
How many times have we tried the same routine, the same foods, the same drinks, the same addictions; only to yield the same results?
I have done this many times. Over and over again. I expected "this time to be different." Or, "maybe just a little less tonight."
This level of thinking yields exactly what it is; insanity. Insane acts breed insane results.
Thanks for listening to "Who Am I? w/ Noah Watry." Let's all try something new, for (in)sanity's sake.

In this podcast I elaborate a little bit more on my last podcast, "Hard, But Necessary."
I detail what happened over the summer, and what lead me to the life that I have now.
A life of complete sobriety that has taken 9 months to achieve.
Who, what, where, why, and when.
Thanks for listening to my thoughts on life, death, and everything in between.

Life is hard. Giving up, or even worse, dying, is easy.
It's the little things in life, that make it worth living. It's the everyday hardness, the struggles, the work; that make our end goals worth it. I want a strong and loving marriage. That takes work. It takes a lot of work to be faithful, tell the truth, hold each other accountable, take care and push one another to be great.
It's easy to go out and lie, cheat, be someone we know we shouldn't be. It's easy to give up. It's easy to succumb to our addictions. I know because I have been there. I've lied. I've cheated. I've gone through numerous addictions in my life. But I have taken the necessary steps to lead a good, wholesome lifestyle, and I could not be happier.
It's hard work staying clean and sober. It's hard work going to a job every morning. It's hard work dealing with friends and family that may not be as supportive. It's hard work going after your own personal goals in life. It's not easy, but it is necessary. The in-between, is what makes life worth living, hard as it may be.
