He founded and runs Traveller Pride, the UK's network for LGBT Travellers & Gypsies and is involved in advocacy for Traveller groups, particularly around Education, LGBT+ Inclusion and mental health. Lolo is a Lesbian mixed Romany activist based in the West Midlands and North West. She is a co-founder of Traveller Pride supporting and campaigning for LGBT+ GRT (Gypsy Roma Traveller) people, and co-founder of the Dikhlo Collective providing free cultural packages to Romani people worldwide. Trudy has been the inaugural LGBT+ Poet Laureate since 2016 and in this role she has written poetry that reflects the diversity of the LGBT+ community and the LGBT+ experience. Her work has been featured on the BBC as part of their London 2012 Olympics coverage and been published in The times, The Telegraph and numerous online publications. Ex-actress and world traveller Trudy shares her joyful and painful experiences as a lesbian from an accepting childhood through the trauma of grief at losing her long-term lover. I saw down with Germany's representative at the Eurovision song contest 2021, Jendrik Sigwart, to talk about the contest, not coming out and LGBT+ role models in Germany. Jendrik studied at Osnabruck Institute of Music going on to be a musical theatre performer and then had the honour of representing Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam 2021. Jendrik’s song may not have won the contest but he certainly won our hearts through his passion for inclusion and his drive to spread positivity.
