How often have you been told by someone to "think outside the box"? I always found it was at a time when extreme limitations were being placed by a company and we all knew what we were meant to be doing...wouldn't work. I often found it to be quite a creativity-squashing phrase, not the challenge I think it's meant to be. But I did like thinking creatively inside the box, because let's face it that's the truth of the situation and the façade of space to roam bugged me. And you will often find this happening within your small business, micro business, passion business, however you identify your business. So in this episode, we talk about this and the video footage is of b-roll footage or should I say, glimmer-picking pictures as I am completely obsessed with filming and photographing any glimmers throughout my day. I hadn't been able to sit down and film but I did have the ideas and I did want to make sure I still spoke up with my voice, I wanted to make sure I didn't lose the consistency of my Podcast, though I am moving the publishing day from Monday to Wednesday. So I found a way to work inside the box creatively. The most important thing about elevating your business is that it's you. That you are creating something that makes you shine on the inside because your audience will know if you're not being authentic to yourself. Have you felt transformation flowing within your small business? Are you following your passion or trying too hard to fit yourself into someone else's box? What could acceptance and letting go do for you and your journey within your passion business? This episode is a bit different to normal, for my own mental health I needed to go for a walk and I took you with me! So join me for a mindful walk and find out about the changes I'm making to my business. I've been experiencing some discomfort in my business feeling split between the two branches which has sent me down the path of acceptance of my own transformation. With transformation can come some big emotions and that's okay! Acknowledging these changes and accepting the letting go that comes with transformation. Losing the name MiniMoon Arts for my product/service business is going to be hard, but is a necessary part of my journey. Apologies for the occasionally waffly sounding audio but honestly, I kind of love this. I love how real the experience was of exploring my thoughts whilst taking a mindful walk. Please let me know how you feel about it, I know this type of audio recording isn't for everyone!

Maybe today's episode is a little controversial. Maybe it will ruffle some feathers but, the point is to illustrate that not everyone does business in the same way. For many passion business owners we are creative and by being creative we are natural explorers, and the idea of having to be an expert and fitting yourself, and your clients, into a neat little box is disheartening and jarring. I know it certainly makes me feel that way and has made me feel "lesser" in my business journey because I just don't work that way, and I don't want to! Yes I can see that the structure could be super beneficial to some, there is no denying that but I just want people who may be feeling defeated by the expert narrative that it isn't the only way.
