In this episode, you can hear my great conversation with psychologist Dr. Taylor Terrebonne! In our conversation, you can hear us discuss what it takes to become a psychologist, as well as Taylor's journey to becoming one. Taylor also goes into detail discussing therapy from a provider's perspective. For someone who has gone through therapy myself, it was so interesting to hear it from the other side as well as learn more about different treatment modalities! The biggest takeaway: Therapy is for everyone. Taylor is so well-spoken and truly does a fantastic job describing all things mental health. I cannot thank her enough for coming on the show!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. My very special first guest is a friend of mine who not only has personal experience in regards to mental health, but has also worked in the field helping others! Adam is an assistant fire chief for Vacherie-Gheens Volunteer Fire Company and is now an industrial firefighter on the emergency response team at a local chemical plant. In this episode, you can hear Adam discuss his challenges with mental health not only in his personal life but also from his professional life by being a first responder.
I appreciate Adam's honesty so much and am truly humbled that he agreed to discuss all that he did on the podcast so that his message could be put out into the world! If you need help with either your mental health or are interested in hearing more about what it is like to be a first responder, you can find Adam on Facebook under his name, or you can email him at [email protected].

Have you ever been in a place that feels very unfamiliar, but then God gives you a wink to let you know he put you in that exact location at that time for a reason? I had this experience 2 weeks ago. Situations like this actually happen in my life more than I ever realized, and I often don't think about it in the moment. It's often in the moments after the event occurs that a smile crosses my face and I look up and say, "Okay. I see you." Have you every been in the right place at the right time, or maybe you were like me and were in an unexpected place, but at the right time? Or, maybe you have a "God wink" story that He let you know you were doing just what you needed to do or were exactly where you needed to be? I'd love to hear about it!

In this pep talk episode today, I discuss how Joe and I recently changed our minds on a decision we made in regards to our house whenever it turned out to be not what we were expecting. I know that I have come across situations in my life where I decided to let something happen just so I could reach the end goal rather than changing my mind, because I wanted to get to that goal quickly regardless of how I got there. Now that I'm learning more about myself, I can truly say that I have to enjoy the situation or process I am going through in order to truly appreciate the end goal once I get there. There's just something about not being satisfied with the timeline of events that make an end achievement less rewarding. Did I go on this profound thought journey all because I didn't like the color of the walls in our house? You got that right.
If you relate to this message or story, I'd love to hear from you about your personal experience! Send me a DM so I can share your story to others, too, who may have gone through similar experiences.

I don't watch reality television much; so when I do, it has to be a great show. Fox brought back the show Joe Millionaire that recently wrapped up airing. Eighteen women were chosen as potential mates for two guys: One is a millionaire worth over 10 million and the other is not. While most people would watch this show for the guys or drama that would take place, I discovered that I wanted to become friends with a contestant on the show, who is our podcast guest this week. After having this awesome conversation, I can confidently say: Suzan and I were meant to be best friends. In my experience of watching reality tv, Suzan was the first alternative woman to be portrayed on this type of show. She carried herself so well despite being sent home on episode 7. In this conversation, we talk about Suzan's experience on the show as well as music, her life, and traits she's looking for in her future husband. I can't thank her enough for taking the time to speak with me! Go follow her on IG @officiallysuzan

You know that phrase "woke up on the wrong side of the bed" whenever someone is not acting like themselves or feels off? In this episode, I share my personal experience of when I had a bad day, basically from waking up on the wrong side of the bed. We discuss the topic of toxic positivity as well as addressing that it is okay NOT to be okay. You certainly don't need my permission or advice to have good days or bad days, but sometimes we all need the reminder that we're not alone in our feelings. If you resonate with this episode or know someone that you think will, please share it to get this reminder out there!

"Be grateful. Be nice. Be thankful." Wise words from Joe in this episode all about what it's like living in a camper with a maximalist-turned-minimalist wife and toddler. It's been approximately 6 months since we've been in a camper due to our house being unlivable post-Hurricane Ida. Listen to this episode if you want to have a laugh at hearing us poke fun at each other as well as hearing what it's been like living in a much smaller space than we were used to. Any advice you'd have for us since we'll be in here for at least a month or two more? I mean it may even be 3 more months? We don't really know anymore. Lol Anywhoooo, hope you liked this little look into our lives and we'd love to hear your thoughts.
If you or someone you know would like to be interviewed for the podcast, send yourself or them my way! I'd love to speak to you or them about being a rockstar at what you do or they do.

WE ARE BACK, BABY!!!
Hurricane Ida certainly threw not only me and my family, but so many others from Southeast Louisiana for a loop. My family and I are currently living in a camper and so is the very special guest of this episode, Jeray Jambon Jarreau! Jeray is such a light and awesome person doing amazing things for our local community. In this episode, we discuss how she got involved with starting the non-profit organization, Bless Your Heart.
It feels so great to be back in the groove of podcasting, even if it is from a camper dining room table. I hope I can still upload episodes weekly (fingers crossed) but I won't put too much pressure on myself if it just can't happen.
If you or someone you know would like to be interviewed for the podcast, send yourself or them my way! I'd love to speak to you or them about being a rockstar at what you or they do.

In this pep talk episode, I list a few things that I do to turn my bad days into happy ones! I definitely enjoy the little things in life, so it doesn't take much to make me a happy camper. Sometimes though, I can get in a funk or have a good day turn the opposite direction. In this episode, I talk through what steps I take to turn my frown upside down.
If this episode has helped you or resonates with you, I would so appreciate if you would share it with a friend or on social media! When you share it, tag me so I can personally thank you for getting the word out :)

Been wanting to hear a podcast where two besties talk about their pregnancy and breastfeeding experiences? Well look no further because you've found the one! I sat down with my best friend Jordan and we talked about all things pregnancy, breastfeeding, and mom life. Jordan is a stay at home mom who was an absolute rockstar at breastfeeding. She and I talk about our different pregnancy and delivery experiences as well as our extremely different breastfeeding experiences.
If you're a guy and don't feel like hearing this episode, or not a mom yet, send it over to your girlfriend, wife, sister, or even your own mama! They may get as good of a laugh as Jordan and I did talking about our experiences.
