Let’s talk about masculine and feminine energy for a moment. If you’re a longtime follower of mine, you know I don’t like the typical rhetoric surrounding these words when it comes to ‘energy.’ That’s because these different energies are often portrayed as being negative.

However, let’s reframe how we think of masculine and feminine energy. In my world, I think of masculine energy as DOING and feminine energy as RECEIVING. All of us as humans have the capacity to DO and RECEIVE and there’s nothing wrong with either of those things. We can do things to show our partners or children how much they mean to us while also receiving their love in return. That doesn’t make us any less male or female. If anything, it makes us a more balanced human being.
