What the FLEX are you doing?
What the FLEX are you doing?
Paul Holbrook
Most advocates of flexible working are talking to those who want flexible working, the individuals who are looking for a better work-life balance. But while those advocates are encouraging more and more people to demand flexible working, not enough people asking for it isn't the problem. The problem is companies that stand in the way of flexible working, either because they are concerned about the floodgates opening and not being able to deal with the deluge of requests, of because their managers are worried that their people will be sat at home watching TV instead of actually working. This podcast is for those of you in companies; to give new insights at to why the shouldn't be afraid of flexible working, and to introduce you to people who have been through the tough times and have finally made it work. It's for anyone charged with making flexible working work in their organisation but who doesn't know where to start.

A solo walk (during Lockdown) with Loki near Tetbury.
As time rebel, author, creator of the Diary Detox and now, a podcast called ‘What the FLEX are you doing?’, I wanted to help make flexible working work; not by talking to the individuals who want it, but by talking to the companies who are worried about what it might do to their organisation.
