I’m hooked
I'm so excited that I found this podcast. I'm a yoga teacher that has a friend with a deaf child and this friend has brought her friends who have brought more friends that are deaf to my yoga studio. Which has now opened up my friends' circle and my eyes to deaf culture. I'm now an ASL student, so I can be a better friend and teacher. I'm grateful for this podcast because it's been a guide for me in so many ways. I love that I can watch the dialog between these two beautiful ladies because it's helpful to me as a hearing person to get better at keeping up with ASL dialog. Thank you both for all you do!

Great!
I am hearing and I have really been enjoying this podcast. The episodes are not too long and the hosts are open. I’m thankful that they’ve provided this resource to learn about deaf community and culture.

Love this podcast!
Love this podcast! I am hearing, and when I was 4 years old I stumbled upon an ASL class at my local library. I was fascinated and sat in that day and was hooked. I took classes there till I was 14, helping with the kids beginner classes as I got older, performing songs at events, and helping interpret at the Deaf Literacy event each year. I fell in love with the Deaf community and felt like I belonged there (I sware I was Deaf in my past life lol). Anyway, I absolutely love what you’re doing here. I’ve always wondered why the Deaf community wasn’t accurately represented on screen, and I’m glad people like you are talking about it! I just found you guys today and have only watched two episodes, but I’m working on binging the rest. Looking forward to more!

Laughing and Learning
This podcast is amazing! As an ASL student this is a full and fun learning experience - not only are you learning about Deaf culture, but it’s helpful to hear the audio while recognizing signs, and catching some new ones. To top it off Carly and Sarah make you feel like one of the girls laughing along with their stories. So grateful for the work they’re putting in. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for season 2!

A Perfect Podcast
What a beautiful piece of expression! Two honest women just conversing about their experiences as members of the Deaf culture and being completely honest and open. It’s rare that people are so willing to share like this and address misconceptions and myths without judgement. It’s like being a part of their conversation while learning and becoming more understanding. Great work, ladies!

Thoughtful insights into Deaf culture
I’m a hearing person who’s been involved in the Deaf community for fourteen years and currently works in the Deaf community, and I always love finding more resources for when hearing people ask me questions about Deaf culture, so I can point them in the direction of Deaf content creators. These two women have created a thoughtful and engaging space where they discuss their culture and experiences. I recommend this to anyone who is hearing and looking to learn more about the nuances of Deaf culture. If you’ve seen Deaf U recently and want Deaf perspectives on that, for example, this is a good place to listen. It’s also great that it’s accessible in both a visual and spoken language, not since a few Crime Junkie interpreted episodes have I seen a podcast that does that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A podcast I can relate to
First off, it’s so fun watching asl rather than reading for a change. And the topics they bring up I can so relate to!

Amazing!
Super impressed with this podcast: it’s fun, informative, engaging, and heart warming. Despite growing up with a deaf cousin (who’s also one of my best friends), this podcast has shown me how much I didn’t understand about the deaf community. I learn so much each episode. Also, Sarah and Carly’s friendship is so freakin’ loving and wholesome: BFF goals!!

Thank you, from the mom of a toddler with hearing loss!
I’m so glad I found this podcast! Thank you for sharing your experiences! My 22-month-old daughter was just diagnosed with moderate hearing loss and your podcast has been really helpful for me to listen to as I process what this means for her and our family. We have started working on basic ASL at home and are in the process of getting her fitted for hearing aids, but I know that’s just the start of our journey. I’m excited to learn more about the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Community through the two of you!

REVOLUTIONARY
This is pretty fxcking historic. Two Deaf women creating a podcast. They are opening the floodgates for the Deaf community and breaking some rules in the hearing world. Podcasts have been solely hearing orientated but now, there is a way for Deaf people to have a seat at the table and it was these two who figured it out. But on a less serious note, they are two best friends and have fun experiences to share through the lens of being Deaf. Not to mention, they are a couple of stunning babes. Tune in!! They’re incredible and it’s worth the listen.... or do I mean watch? ;)

Excellent start!
This is such a cool idea for a podcast! I look forward to seeing where it goes! A couple things: 1) Would you consider captioning your YouTube videos in Spanish and potentially other languages? 2) Would you consider interviewing members of other deaf communities from around the world and/or taking an intersectional look at other forms of privilege/oppression through the lens of deafness/hearing/ableism? 3) i’ll definitely recommend this to friends and family! Best of luck!

Carly and Sarah are two true heroines. Their groundbreaking podcast is a breath of fresh air for hearing people like me who want to understand more about the deaf community, in order to relate better with deaf friends and family. It also seems to be a much needed platform for the deaf and hearing communities to begin a meaningful exchange of thoughts and experiences. These champions of communication are so smart, sassy, real, and approachable - and beautiful in so many ways. I am so grateful for their insights and generosity. Thank you, Love you, Tío Phillip
