Groundbreaking
This podcast provides insight into the new wave of forensic assets that are solving cases and bringing long-awaited resolutions to families. It takes true-crime to a new place, painting an intriguing picture of the science and casework that is glossed over in most TV shows and newscasts. Excellent writing, narration, and production.

It’s Dateline or 48 Hours for the listening ear
I mentioned those 2 TV shows because they are my favorites. Amanda’s podcasts are amazing and they are every bit as good, except that they are in audio. And since I’ve lived down here for almost 20 years, I know unfortunately there is a lot of content and cases she can draw from. But it’s certainly made my commute to and fro Mebane a lot more interesting. Thanks Amanda. Keep em coming.

Respectful & On-point
I’m from the west coast and had not heard of Amanda Lamb before stumbling across this podcast. She is clearly an actual professional who knows her craft, and she guides listeners through cases & forensics in a way that is humane & compassionate without being boring. This show is fascinating & engaging without crossing the line into treating atrocities like entertainment, which is increasingly rare these days. Great podcast and I look forward to every episode.

What Remains is outstanding
Science, investigations, and resolutions presented in an informative, captivating and satisfying way. Finding answers for both the dead and the living in such a respectful, caring manner, and calling to account the ones who committed the crimes, is an act of honor for innocent.

Good show
Overall a very interesting show! I'm a little annoyed that for the case of baby Michael, the police did not appear to investigate the father of baby Michael. Perhaps the mother's desperation to get rid of the child had something to do with the so called "father's" uninvolvement with the child. He didn't seem to care if he even had a son. I think he should be held accountable too.

What I’ve been waiting for
No sensationalizing of crimes done to people, just honest discussions that are victim oriented and scientifically up to date. The folks they interview are amazing, the stories are well produced/written, and victim’s families are able to tell their stories. Truly so good and exactly what I’ve been hoping to find one day. To the people who want drama and gasps, stories of people being victimized for entertainment, this is not it. This is respectfully made and I so deeply appreciate the effort put into this podcast.

Insightful
I always find people want to work hard for a positive outcome and was really ratcheted up after listening to this series. The detectives, scientists, family members and others put incredible effort into these cold cases to bring nothing more than closure. Really inspiring to hear it told in this story manner. Amanda Lamb dies a great job of bringing story to life as if she is on the hard working team.

Eye opening
This podcast gives the listener a whole new perspective on true crime. Each episode deals with a different and unique topic and overall is very informative. Personally, the episode about Body Farms has made me consider other avenues for whenever I may pass on. I hope to see this podcast continue for many more seasons.

Very well done and informative!
I knew about Amanda Lamb from when we lived in Raleigh. So when I saw she had a podcast, I gave it a try. Sure glad I did! This podcast is so well written by Ms. Lamb, perfectly narrated by her with empathy and clarity, and covers subjects of great interest such as forensic genealogy and the genesis of the DNA Network in a way that makes them easy to understand. She combines a real case with an explanation of processes. There is just the right amount of interviews to make it feel personal. Give this informative podcast a try and you will be hooked!

Nicely done
I will probably subscribe, but I’m sorry I started with the case of baby Michael. Who are these horrible people who condemn desperate women. In this case the woman was an adult, but often it’s a frightened teenager. They are usually from religious families and feel terrible shame. I was disgusted listening to all the judgemental men out to find this woman at any cost. Her life matters too. I note that they gave the baby the name of a saint—a Catholic saint—keep your religion out of your work. Amanda Lamb touched on some of this toward the end and she did her job as a journalist; it was the men I found to be absolutely paternalistic, vindictive, with misplaced compassion. Of course it was a tragedy—for everyone, including Debra.

Wonderful narration and storytelling
What a joy it is to listen to a professional writer and experienced news journalist develop and deliver a storyline that’s informative, continually interesting and always respectful. Amanda Lamb is exactly the type of person you’d gladly tell your own story to knowing it will be retold with the greatest care. I’m binge listening and on episode six. I sure hope she will continue this podcast for a long time to come.
