Inmates Dance to be Free
In this episode I am excited to welcome Lucy Wallace and Cassy Rathbun.  Lucy is the founder of an organization called Dance to be Free.  Her mission is "to radically improve the lives of incarcerated women through the healing power of dance".  Through Trauma Informed Dance Teacher Trainings, she uses “Cathartic Choreography” combined with leadership skills – to empower our graduates to conduct peer to peer programming within the prison. Cassy is a lovely woman who was wrongly incarcerated for 3.5 years.  During that time, she joined one of Lucy’s classes and found the self-forgiveness and power to reclaim her life again. For more information on Dance to be Free and how you can contribute, go to www.dancetobefree.org.

The Magical Power of Horses
Did you know that horses have hearts that over power our own when we stand near them?  Their hearts and bodies actually help us relax and be in touch with ourselves and our values. In this episode, we explore the power of horses and the freedom these animals can bring into our lives.  I am here with Bridget Wald who is an equine facilitator who is trained in multiple disciplines to support human transformation through their inaction and relationship with horses. A Sharking Discovery!
Cristina Zenato is what they call a “shark whisperer”.  She scuba dives with sharks and builds real relationships with them so she can remove fishing hooks from them.  If you haven’t seen the video of her swimming the the sharks, visit our facebook page and take a look.  She says sharks are very kind and gentle and remind her of our relationships with dogs!  She is here today to share her story of how she chose and pursued this passion and what it is like to be a friend of misunderstood animals. Resources in this Episode: VISIT~ www.cristinazenato.com DONATE~ www.pownonprofit.org Questions before episode: Think about your beliefs about sharks.  Are they mean? Scary? Inherently dangerous?  How would you compare them to a pet like a dog or a cat?  Take a few seconds and establish that. Second: think about dolphins.  How do you see them?  Are they cute? Kind? Always helpful, safe?  Take a few seconds to establish that. Then lastly, think about something in your life that is troubling you.  What do you believe about it?  Name one thing about it that you believe is true - something that has been defining your actions around the situation. At the end of this interview, I invite you to answer these questions again and then reflect on the show in a particular way that just might change the way you see your situation. Questions after episode: Go back to the one thing that is true about a situation that is bothering you.  How can you transfer what you learned on the show today to that situation?  Here are some things to consider and be honest with yourself - it’s an opportunity to unstick yourself and be effective: Are you judging a book by its cover? Is your belief about the situation accurate? How do you know? Could there be more to the story? Where are you spending your energy?  Is it worth it? What do you want to bite onto and not let go of?  How will it serve you? What future do you want to create and what will you sacrifice for it?

Traversing Uncertainty
We have a unique and special show for you today.  We invited two lovely, intelligent and very experienced ladies to the show to help us sort through some of the emotions we are having around COVID and the reality of this new life uncertainty. For the first time in history the entire world is in a place where we have total uncertainty about what is next for ourselves, family, country, world.  In this time when we are forced to settle down and be quiet, many of us are experiencing a great deal of worry or anxiety about the future.  Now, we don’t have any magical answers, but it’s an interesting topic to discuss and explore to see if we can find personal strength and direction in this new world context. What kind of emotions are you experiencing around this uncertain time?  Are you able to identify them?  Make use of them?  These are some questions I invite you to ask while listening to our show. Magical Pixy Dust
Do you know or have you been a woman who has been stuck in a painful relationship?  I think at one point or another we have all had the not-so pleasurable experience of being in a relationship that was emotionally abusive.  We could have been on either side of that equation: the abused or the abuser, or both.  But Kelli Kintzel not only experienced leaving this type of relationship after 20 years, she also found her way out of an on going barrage of circumstances for most of her life including having drug addicts as parents, having to be in foster care from 11-18, being molested and raped, losing her brother to suicide, her best friend in a strange, surprising death, having to get two college degrees to be able to find work, losing her aunt who had become a mother to her and her husband almost committing suicide when she kept her boundaries in the relationship.  Kelly found her way to happiness by learning about herself, standing up for herself, becoming a nurse and a skydiver.  She leaned on friends and family and today she will tell her story in hopes that it will help someone else out there gather the courage to recreate their life out of hell to a place they love.
