A vast majority of behavior issues in dogs stem from the reality that humans don’t communicate the same way they do. We misunderstand each other, making it difficult to explain to each other what we need. Today I chat about this, and what you can do to have better communication with your dog, for a healthier relationship. Want to see your dogs behavior problems go away without aversive tools? Join me for this live video. Bring your questions with you. If you need help with your dog (attachment, aggression, anxiety, trauma, etc.) find me at holisticdogtraining.org

Behavioral problems and medical conditions have been treated separately for years. However, behavior depends directly on an animal’s health condition, and vice versa. I’m Roman Gottfried Holistic Behavior Consultant and Energy Practitioner helping my dog clients online through trauma-informed secure-attachment based approach to reach their potential. My very special guest on coffee with dog professionals is Dr Katrin Jahn, DrMedVet, CertVA, MANZCVS (Veterinary Behaviour), MRCVS, while having a coffee, we will discuss how some behavioral problems are caused totally or partially by a medical condition. Additionally, some of these problems represent a diagnostic challenge for veterinarians because, in many cases, there are no other clinical signs or evidence of illness apart from behavioral changes. Improving our knowledge of the most common medical problems that can modify the behavior may help veterinarians to improve their diagnostic protocols and treatments. Dr Katrin Jahn specializes in treating not only the physical but also the mental and emotional health of pets in an amazing small animal practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE and they have spent the last years getting better and better at improving the pet's and owners experience in the clinic. Her entire team are Fear Free certified and they go above and beyond to help every pet feel safe when they are in our care. Her website
