Christians taking on really tough topics! Unheard of! I will continue to pray for them and hope that hey reach as many of us as they possibly can!

These three hosts are bringing topics to the table that are important and crucial. They are honest, real, and funny. I also appreciate how they don’t always wrap a topic up nice and neat at the end. It’s taught me to be okay with not having all the answers and that meaningful conversations can still come out of difficult topics.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for about a year or 2. It difficult to remember since Corona days make days & months blurry. Lol Even still, I can honestly say I look forward to every new episode as this trio never ceases to delight and encourage me with their refreshing perspectives & fantastic guests! Awesome team indeed!

By far one of my favorite podcasts! We Talk Different wades into tumultuous waters to discuss hard issues of faith and justice. Thanks for educating this middle aged white woman.

I happened to come across the We Talk Different podcast, and listened to the “White Blessings” Edition and “White Immunity” Edition episodes with A.D. Thomason. (Such good episodes!) I have since subscribed to the podcast and begun going back through past episodes. This is a dope team so worth tuning into. 🎧

People, what are you doing with your life if you’re not listening to this podcast? Stay informed, dig deep, and make this podcast part of your weekly routine. Ashley, Elijah, and Ryan have difficult conversations about complicated topics like race, gender, politics, and theology and still keep coming back to the table. This show has been instrumental in my journey of understanding race in America and in The Church. They will challenge you, call you out, make you laugh and make you cry. It’s what we all need.

Every American should stop what they’re doing and listen to the WTD episode released on June 2. Fellow Christians, if you are more offended by the salty language than by our complicity in forms of institutionalized racism and white supremacy, that’s a matter between you and the Lord. The most useful and enjoyable podcast (of many great contenders) that I’ve listened to for trying to think deeper on my biases and blindness to our US culture’s racism. Gratifying for anyone who likes logic, self-awareness and nuance, the hosts are keen to root out new perspectives (They talk different) on relevant topics. Beyond that you’ll be truly moved by signs of their warmth and kindness. I’m not Christian and almost makes me want to find a church where I can learn to be so goodhearted. Hosts are humorous but never waste time with banter filler/inside jokes. Plus they offer good recs on news and docs and literature to read on antiracism and antiestablishment ideas.

I have spent the last several days binging WTD because it is excellent. Ashley, Elijah, and Ryan are so helpful to my understanding of white supremacy, whiteness, racism, and so much more. They say hard things that everyone needs to hear and yet have an ability to balance that with their evident care and friendship with one another. Expect laughter, smiles, tears, lament, and head nods. THANK YOU for taking the time you do to put together this podcast!

I wish I had a group of friends like this to regularly talk about faith, race, and gender. I don’t know how many people can joke while talking about such serious issues, but the thoughtfulness and humor keep me listening. I feel like I know the three of you very well, even though we’ve never met. It’s in my bucket list, though.

I love this podcast for multiple reasons 1. The friendship and comic relief that comes from the conversations shows these talks can be enjoyable 2. The rehabilitating education I’m receiving and resources I’m being introduced to! 3. The self reflection that occurs after I listen and reigniting of hope for progress that’s growing in my mind, heart, and soul LISTEN!!!!

I’m really new to this podcast (listening for a month), but I have enjoyed and learned from every episode I’ve played so far. I highly recommend this podcast if you’re looking people who esteem Jesus and those on the margins equally! From the ATL by way of NOLA!

I. Love. Y’all! Ok, I’m a little partial because Ashley is my friend, but I feel so heard and understood and seen when I listen. Ashley and Elijah say all the thoughts and words floating around in my head. And Ryan gives me hope that there are others like him out there. I literally am thrilled when I see a new recording. My commentary is filled with: “Say that!”, “Yaaaaasssss!”, “Tell ‘em, y’all!”, Come on, white boy!”. This is so needed, refreshing, and amazing! Thank you for doing what you do and being who you are! I started listening to WTD after the 100th episode and THEN I started from the beginning and I’m here for ALL of it!! There is SO much valuable dialogue and insight into our nation and culture, through the lens of the gospel. It’s just amazing! I’m so grateful for you three and all you consistently do! This is all the stuff about politics, culture, race, identity, theology and on and on that you want to talk about with people, but don’t get many chances to because few are willing to go there. Thanks for helping me wrestle with things and making me uncomfortable and okay with being angry WTD!

I have listened to about 30-40 of these episodes over the past year or so. WTD is consistently helpful and honest, especially around difficult subjects. I appreciate the time they put into these podcasts.

This is what we (society, followers of Christ, everyone, really!) need.

I first heard Ashley on "Chrystal's Chronicles" talking about how to have conversations about race. I was so impressed by her stances on so many talking points that I looked up this podcast that she said she did regularly. When I found this I started listening to the "Wakanda Forever Edition" episode and was hooked within the first ten seconds. Their conversations about race, patriarchy, theology and just about every topic important to the human experience are hilarious and frank in a way that I have not found in any other place. I love them for real.

It’s honest, informative, and a perfect blend of justice and faith!

Hate that it took me so long to find this beauty!!!! Love the honest and transparency that WTD brings. The topics they discuss are necessary, relevant and thought provoking especially considering the climate we are in. Culture changers.

I stumbled upon this podcast and it’s one of the best accidents I’ve had. Ryan, Ashley, and Elijah perfectly balance the views required to have these difficult and illuminating conversations. This podcast is brave and unashamedly honest about topics we all should be discussing but, for various reasons, are not. I’m thankful for this group and the difficult work they’re doing. It’s useful. It’s entertaining. It’s waiting for you to check it out.

I just started listening to this podcast last week--and I've been struck to my core by the honesty and the depth of the conversations I have gotten to listen to. I've learned so much in the last week. As a black female, I've been challenged in many ways, which is a catalyst for me to dive deeper for more understanding. I'm grateful that the conversations and insights that you all share that ultimately help me appreciate and embrace the all the nuances of the issues discussed. I will definitely share!! I've been listening for the last 3 weeks and started with "What It Means to be White." It was mind-blowing and as a POC it has helped me grow in my knowledge of racism and its structures. It's also allowed me to have thoughtful conversations and debates with White people in my spheres. This podcast has been my favorite classroom and a respite for my heart!

My roommate told me about this podcast about 3 weeks ago, and I have gone back and listened to every episode from the beginning (a task that I just finished up on the drive home today), and let me just say... WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I appreciate you all for broadening the dialogue of issues that represent all the elephants in ALL the rooms. I have promoted this podcast to all of my friends, and it has been a great starting point for some of my conversations with white people in the past few weeks. Your discussions/commentaries are provocative, timely, thought-provoking, and much needed for such a time as this--a post-modern/post-truth society. 💯
