When I first started listening to this, I was aghast at how these kids could come off like this in public and not be embarrassed. But then then I realized that these two are angelic and beautiful souls.

They’re not so bad. I would recommend reading Faulkner, especially Go Down Moses, Light in August, Absalom! Absalom!, and Sound and the Fury.

The hosts interrupt their guests constantly… talking over them, cutting them off mid-sentence. Not sure if it’s a lack of self awareness or part of their shtick but either way, annoying and almost uncomfortable to listen to

I’m not smart enough to understand what they are talking about. Maybe because I unironically wear Max5 crocs. Speaking of hunting, my Large Munsterlander usually naps for a 2-6 hour ride during rounds of podcasts; ride or die. He was really disturbed by the Wet Brain music, their voices and the sound effects. Snoopy says hard pass.

Not sure why I started listening; I thought it was supposed to be funny. It is not. It's amazingly annoying. Like listening to a couple rich kids drone on about nothing anyone else can relate to. I thought maybe it was a prank today. The guy starts chomping a carrot right into the microphone, talking and chewing like an annoying bovine. But there's no punchline if this was a prank. It never gets funny, just increasingly annoying. This was the third episode I tried to endure, but I just couldn't finish this atrocity of sounds. I'd rather listen to an ASMR of a cow than this.

How did this get suggested to me? Next.

The honest strength it takes to be cringe is immense, and laudable. Walt and Honor’s convos r all over the place, and it’s magnificent.

i listen this program often and since starting i have been living healthier, embraced sobriety, and become catholic. thank you wet brain

I am drawn to themes. The big ones and others too. Themes and genres provide the audience with a sense of comfort, and if you throw in a traditional narrative, you cannot disappoint. Being able to cause discomfort using forms and structures people are ordinarily comforted by interest me. This mirrors my early life, in that I was born into a typical narrative with all the themes and structures present, but that they were always askew, out of focus, interrupted and false. This caused me great discomfort. I suppose I have a desire to pass that feeling on. Not to be cruel, but to connect with others whose narratives are fractured too. That’s where Wet Brain podcast comes in. It’s wonderful.
