Who is Jesus—really?

When Jesus asked His disciples that question, Peter answered with confidence: “You are the Christ of God.” He was right… but he still didn’t fully understand what that meant.

In the opening message of the Easter series King. Cross. Crown., we explore a moment where the disciples correctly recognized Jesus as the Messiah but misunderstood the path He came to walk. Instead of a crown and a throne, Jesus revealed that suffering, rejection, and the cross were ahead.

And then He did something even more surprising—He invited His followers to walk that road with Him.

This message challenges us to consider what it truly means to follow Jesus: denying ourselves, taking up our cross daily, and discovering that in God’s kingdom we sometimes have to lose in order to gain.

Because the King we follow carried a cross before He ever wore the crown.
