Lord of the Rings franchise was put under a lot of pressure with the casting of The Hobbit and the LotR Trilogy, largely in part due to their lack of diversity. Amazon studios' attempt to reconcile this, I believe, was to the detriment to how good Rings of Power could be. Creativity cannot be less than the need to appease mass audiences. That's IMPOSSIBLE! One of the biggest struggles I've had, and many people for that matter, is improving my skillset of humility. Being wrong isn't a great feeling, and it's a main reason people won't speak up.
