Our deep dive into the composers that make the movies great continues this week with Part2 of our picks.  We discuss what makes those scores so great, and what these composers brought to the table.  Also we weave our way through some stories of our past, and hijinks ensue!

We're back!  Season 2 begins with a deep dive in to the music of films.  Not songs (that's another episode), but the scores that make movies so effective.  We talk about our favorite composers in this style, and what makes their craft so important to film.  Along the way, we take the usual multiple detours, and are able to fit at least 8 into our top 3...the last 2 of our Top 5 Composers next week!

This week, we dedicate the entire show to the great Frank Zappa.  He was polarizing, and misunderstood, and virtuosic, and held in a reverence unmatched by musicians everywhere.  FZ remains one of the most influential and important musicians of the last 100 years - why is that?  We will tell you.

This week we take a deep dive into the Rock Piano and its' influence over the years, as we talk and sometimes stumble through many of the defining licks of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and even some 90s - we will have to continue the discussion into the 2000s and beyond in an upcoming episode.  Who knew there's so much piano to talk about? (We knew.) Also, we have unearthed the WOSV archives and will be including snippets of previous podcasts of our over 100+ years of shows (that may surprise some of you, but really we've only been big in Europe, or maybe Japan) - we get a taste of the Gershwin episode from the 1920s this time around....
