Happy holidays, your gift is what you got last year! This week, we decided to have Christmas in September and watch Netflix's 'A Christmas Prince' trilogy instead of a Marvel movie for the third time. What really shocked us was how many similarities there were between these Rom-Com/Hallmark-style movies and our favorite Marvel trilogy: the three Iron Mans. As we get into the weird coincidences of the two, we also start to discuss Thor and C*ptain Am*rica as their own trilogies, and how they all reflect similar patterns. This week it's time to take a deep dive into an entirely new topic for the podcast: British comedy and panel shows. With special guest Noelle C. Sacher, Kara and Spenser talk at length about a new obsession that seems entirely out of nowhere, but really might be part of our roots. We discuss James Acaster, who may very well be the funniest person alive and, despite having the same haircut as Kara in middle school, still can garner adoration from all three of us. Discussion broadens to British game shows such as Taskmaster, the thing we all can't stop binging, and we learn that Noelle has a crush on just about every British comedian... This week, we're trying to reframe our focus, and trying to put together a miniature Christmas viewing schedule (that has very little to do with Christmas). Discussion includes the origin of us binge-watching something together, AKA our first love: British television. Over the years, and over this recording, we come to terms with what actually creates an obsession in our eyes, and how that can shift over time. Plus, stick around for the grand reveal of Kara announcing that she has... A crush. 

After a brief hiatus, this week we finally answer the question of which Chris "has gotta go".. And where we'd rank the other Chris's in succession. Not only did we watch Spenser's perhaps most-hated film of the MCU: 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2', we also watched Kara's comfort movie: 'The Princess Diaries 2'. Which sequel reigns supreme? Well, that may be obvious, but less-obvious might be what we think of the .. "comedy" and "fashion" in 'Emily in Paris'. So, say "bonjour" to Chris Pine, and Kara realizing she may have an attachment to the man she never even knew about...

After all this news about Chris Pratt, we decided it was time to discuss the real horrors of the MCU. After a quick google search, there were plenty of "scary" facts about the movies and the making of them, so welcome to our take of a Halloween themed episode! The scariest part? We might not be able to stan RDJ anymore!!!! To get through this one, take a drink every time we say "that's crazy" or Kara sniffles.

For a more brief episode, we watched a not-so-brief movie: Avengers: Infinity War. After the first round, this was ranked third to last for which MCU movies we'd liked, so let's see if that stands the test of time... Which is a 3 hour movie (including pee breaks).

Time to watch something outside of the MCU!!! Or is it...? This week we watched Into the Spider-Verse with special guest Kasey, who Kara of course bullies the entire episode. Highlights include our descent into madness towards becoming high school nerds who talk about superheroes all day, as well as our life plan to write our own superhero movie (since we're obviously experts), and, despite him having absolutely nothing to do with the movie, an obligatory tangent about Tony Stark.
