3 years ago, I said yes to God's call to entrepreneurship! With a newborn and a toddler in tow, I had to chuck fear out of the window and put action into gear. Thank God for a supportive husband and village, who did not leave me then and have not left me yet! This week, you get to dive deeper with the brains behind the business, aka ME! I had the wonderful privilege of being interviewed by one of my favorite people on this planet, my brother Ralph Chambati! I'm so proud of what we're doing at EAC. Ep. 22: Breaking Financial Barriers in Higher Education
🎙️ We're diving into current events in higher education, spotlighting Radford University and Johns Hopkins University. Shall we dive in?🤔 Ever wondered how new funding initiatives can transform the higher education landscape for first-generation and low-income students?🎤 In this episode, I delve into some incredible updates from Radford University and Johns Hopkins University's School of Medicine.💡 Radford University is making waves with its new Tuition Promise, offering free tuition to Virginia residents whose families earn under $100,000. I also discuss Radford's recognition for its food pantry services and the $1.2 million state grant to support Pell Grant-eligible students.💡 Meanwhile, Johns Hopkins University receives a staggering $1 billion from Bloomberg Philanthropies to ensure medical students from families earning less than $300,000 can attend debt-free. This initiative will benefit nearly two-thirds of their current and incoming medical students.🔑 We explore the impact of these initiatives on students' lives, the broader implications for higher education, and how they are breaking down barriers for first-generation and low-income students.💡 What's happening at your institution?
