Anna Pinkerton is a professionally qualified psychotherapist and author with over 25 years experience, she specialises in helping people recover from chronic stress, PTSD, burnout and breakdown. Anna is the founder of Kindness Incorporated™ a unique philosophy centered on companionability to self, affecting others and business for the better. She founded Kindness Incorporated™ to help leaders cultivate a companionable relationship with themselves and their teams. Transforming inner brutality into solidarity to self speeds up personal and business growth.
She discusses different types of trauma which can affect an individual, some of these are prolonged, or can be a one off trauma. Anna goes on to talk about two of the most common symptoms to look out for to see if someone is experiencing prolonged chronic stress. Discusses how managers are able to help employers if they feel they are struggling, this involves going up and speaking to the individual if they notice any of these signs. Anna explains how leaders and managers will only be able to help members of their team that are struggling if they are reflective and can notice how they are doing themselves, self reflection.
