She moved to the UK 10 years ago with no English language skills. She became a Bar back and then a bartender, before working in Administration, HR and marketing. Currently, she works at Stuart as their Senior Global HR Business partner, wherein she plans and develops the HR strategy across three countries with a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in addition to wellbeing and mental health.Maria begins by explaining the challenges and her solutions that she has found when combating the inclusion of diversity, inclusion, mental health and wellbeing. She states that remote working has been a challenge for her at Stuart but through answering questions and being available to their employees during these uncertain times, they have managed to implement different devices that have had great benefits and results. Maria goes on to give advice and initiatives that others can introduce within their own HR teams and workplaces to grow the culture and have good practice.
