I love this podcast and all the Oly stories and info. So incredibly valuable and meaningful.

Excellent and informative episode - I had no idea about slavery in the Northwest and this incredible story of one man’s experience as he sought freedom. Shocking to think it wasn’t just “ there” . It was here and it was us. I’m interested to learn more - thanks for this.

This podcast caught my eye because it literally is about the city I live in. I thought it would be a quirky “Olympian’s only” type of podcast, filled with inside jokes, and locations. Only exciting to people who live here. There is a level of that, but not much at all. This podcast is accessible to anyone, anywhere, it takes stories about Olympia’s history and current events, and universalizes them. Rob narrates these stories with a professional production quality, and with empathy and excitement of his subjects. And an open honesty of who he is. The music is superb and the majority is local artists. Definitely worth your time.

I wish every town in America had a podcast like this. Rob’s love of and curiosity about Olympia comes through in every episode, and it’s contagious.

Though seemingly a niche podcasts for locals, Welcome To Olympia is a supremely well made story telling podcast along the lines of This American Life and all the others. The producer Rob knows both how to make a good sounding podcasts as well as how to find a good story! I’m always excited when a new episode comes out!

In love this podcast and I don’t live in Olympia. The people are relatable and the storytelling is always fresh. Great music too.

These 25 minute podcasts are incredibly well done. I’m anxiously waiting for more!
