I am a longtime comics fan who took a ten year break from comics to get a job, have kids, etc. I got Marvel Unlimited as a Christmas present and decided to start with the Marvel Fresh Start books. Obviously no one cares about those anymore, so the podcast fills the void. It is great to hear reviews that aren’t completely bitter comics nerds moaning or fanboys gushing. I started at the beginning so hopefully I will hear you read this comment in three years. Keep up the great work!

I love all the Marvel shows. They go through books I read and keep me up on those I don’t. Just regular guys talking come comics!

I've only recently started listening but this is a nerd-culture podcast you won't want to miss. They really do an awesome job going into detail and having a fair perspective on what's been going right and wrong in the world of Marvel and DC!

What are all of them? I can’t find a single podcast that seems to discuss them. Not even the ones specifically focusing on Doctor Strange!! I have Balthakk, Cytorrak, Ikonn, Raggadorr, Farallah. I am only missing 3 of them. Anyone know what they are? Trying to write a Strange centered story involving the newest Master of the Mystic Arts being tasked with researching the Wager of the Octessence and wanting to devote themselves to studying them and tasked with hunting down the items that bequeath their power to individuals who come in contact with them before agents of Dormammu can get them. It would be a great help. Also this podcast is a great way to learn what’s going on with the Marvel universe especially during COVID 19!

Jim and Brandon are a great team however there are times I find myself screaming at their lack of Marvel knowledge. I have also laughed so hard I’ve cried! Love these guys!

Love the show, I know they like it when they like all the books, but sometimes it’s fun for us when they tear into a bad one. The honesty and fairness is refreshing. Keep up the good work.

First off, I don’t mind the guys “talking over each other”! Its a very natural back and forth as opposed to a robotic scripted podcast. It’s a very informative podcast in that you get a lot of information from the books that they are reviewing. 5 stars for sure. Even if Brandon is a drunk from Buffalo and Jim lives on cereal, their reviews are on the mark. I’ve actually picked up books based on their reviews. That’s for a quality podcast gentlemen.

Get woke, old heads! ...These guys are the best!!! Great work ethic, the utmost professionalism, and a whole lot of nonsense thrown in for good measure (my favorite part!) I look forward to the multiple podcasts per week that they have on the marvel side, as well as all of the amazing work over on the Patreon feed (worth every penny!). Jim, Branden, and (sometimes) Double A-Ron are competent reviewers that take each issue seriously. If they don’t like something, they don’t sugar coat it. Can’t say enough about them. This is my fave podcast and I highly recommend it!

Hey weird sciencers I am a random nerd from Southern California who mite eat to many member berries. There was such a huge expectation in me for this “ fresh start” run of comics. I couldn’t wait to want to read the avengers again since the ultimate avengers wasn’t my bag. All though I am a huge lover of the after Xavier serious and the Ben Riley original clone saga. And that brings me to my point. And your gunna hate me but I am rather over the rehashing old events with the Diet Coke of evil heroes we get a lot of the time now ... only one calorie etc. I know you love x23 but to me we are just watching what would happen if wolverine was young and female just to do it. I got enough of that in lady deathstrike ,but that’s a lot more ranting. The Dr. Strange run has also brought back safe areas to keep what seems to be an “ I know they will buy this “ area . Along with what ever happened the fantastic four. Power house wasn’t fun to read the first time. Old man quill was what I expected .. yay digital . I am happy to see the darker books , in my opinion, really heading up marvel . It’s like they had to take tony out of the comics more so the big screen effect was more impacting. So the comics always being harder went bad butt. The hulk run is absolutely disgusting, vile, well written and I love the art more than I expected. Along with black widow really grinding in what play it was and how much restraint it lacked. Plus when you add in the invaders , cosmic ghost rider, and Deadpool and black panther.. yes please. Thanks for being some of the few people who have the same love of comics I do, not having wrong teen or that horn sound all the time.. hate that. And being the only comic podcast I will endorse. Boop boop

They get it. Comics should be fun. The stories told are what make them the best. These are folks you’d like to have a beer with and discuss the latest releases, without feeling like they’re going to throw you out of their LCS for not knowing how many filigrees appear on Mjolnir in Journey Into Mystery #97 (I’m looking at you, iFanboy). Top shelf reviews; 80s music parodies; what else could you ask for?

The continent is always top notch and it is not artificial in any way. The guys make it feel like you’re just hanging out and discussing the shenanigans going on in comics very week.

I look forward to this podcast and cant wait for new episodes. I love the banter between the hosts and they have a lot of fun with the comics.

Great podcast! They give their full honesty of a book and aren’t just be all positive to make people happy. Not only do they give great reviews but they also have great rambling conversations!

Jim and Branden aren’t afraid to pull any punches, they will tell you how great or how much it reminds them of hot garbage. The only reason I found their main DC podcast is because they started this one as I’m mainly a Marvel guy. Low and behold I’m now a Patreon for their DC pod and look forward to all their reviews. Love that they branched out into Marvel, and the episodes aren’t even 10 hours!! :-p

This is huge.. The weird science crew expanding into Marvel is as big as when McDonalds started serving breakfast.. jim is the egg mcmuffin of the crew, eric is like a big fat breakfast w hot cakes (fatty) and brandon is a mcgriddle wrapped in denim.. the boys have a great chemistry and have me onboard for a “fresh start” Im audi 5000

Its Weird Science, so it's the guys you love to listen to. It's under an a hour, so you are gonna be able to listen in one sitting. This is the podcast for me! Great reviews of the Fresh Start at Marvel. Check it!

I've been looking for a Marvel podcast that talks comics and since I listen to Weird Science DC, I am so glad they are doing Marvel as well! Get in on the ground floor so you will be in on the jokes by the time they get to episode 100 +

Almost as good as those Marvel Madness guys.....just almost....barely.....at least that one guy is Eric Grey I think his name is...yeah that’s it Eric Grey Beard.

Love your DC reviews and that level of excellence is flowing over to this as well. Keep it up.
