I am noticing that Brides are starting to cut corners to try and save some money.  With gas prices higher, I am about to have to raise prices for out of town events. Start thinking which areas of your wedding can you start saving some money.

Please forgive me for the crappy audio.  It's all messed up.  This last weekends wedding was a show!  We had a good time, but like most weddings it had some quirks to it for sure.

I don't know if it is because of inflation, but I am working with more and more brides that do not have a wedding planner.  This is resting all the day of questions squarely on the brides shoulders.  Brides you need to enjoy your day and have someone else that is the point person for day of questions and concerns.

Three things I am learning that need improvement with my own DJ hire that I feel brides need to watch out for.  What kind of music will the DJ play, how are they with announcements, and are they interactive and welcoming are three areas in which I need my own DJ to grow in before they are doing weddings on their own.

A little weekend review of the wedding from Saturday.  First of all, there was a "Flower Guy"! This was a hugely country themed and music crowd.  There was no two stepping, no line dance, and very few dancings at all.  They just wanted to drink and chat.

Today I review the High School graduation party where we gave out over $4000.  We also go over an interesting way to get your guests participating during the boring wait time while the guest wait to get in line for you wedding buffet.

I'm not sure if the Flower Guy trend is catching on, but we I have done a few weddings with that substitute.  We also talk about a wedding I did on a mountain side where there was no electricity, but I had to use a computer and a speaker.  Thank good for portable speakers with their own battery.

Today we talk about two of the biggest concerns people have when hiring a dj.  The first concern is that they do not have their rates posted on their website.  Sometimes there is a good reason for this, but for some it is an immediate red flag.  The second concern we cover is that they do not have any videos of previous events they have worked to give an example of how they operate.   Music by Coma_Media from Pixabay.

We had a double event Saturday this weekend and it ended with giving out 10 $1000 cash money gifts.  We started our Saturday with a wonderful wedding that was headache free and went very smooth.  We ended Sunday morning at 2:30 with giving 10 Senior students $1000.  Thank you to our all Sponsors that donated gifts and cash to the Northside High School 2022 after prom.  We had a blast and were so happy to be able to be part of that event.
