Why constantly make fun of and criticize the characters and plots of books you claim to love? It kinda ruins the experience for me in ways that other recap/review pods do not. I prefer Fantasy Fangirls.

when instagram reels threw one of rachel’s long text paragraph/staring into the camera videos into my feed, and i saw the words ROMANCE PODCAST i was instantly curious. i love reading, but sometimes i would rather someone just tell me what happens in their own words, and THIS was perfect for that! not mention being a swiftie myself, i appreciate all of the references ;) i’ve now listened to over half of all the episodes (of course pausing the binge for a new episode) and i have to say i love it. also, will be very sad when i finish them all and have to wait for more <3

Want to know how to survive a bear attack based on the color of the bear? Look no further! But seriously, it’s so fun to listen to Alison and Rachel’s commentary and sister dynamic, especially as it revolves around romance books and the romance world. They are both so funny and genuine and I have learned a lot about romance (and tons of other bonus stuff too). I’ve even started listening to the episodes of books I probably won’t get around to reading. So fun!

It doesn’t matter, the way you say Britain, certain, written &c makes me want to violently shove forks in my ears. PS don’t talk about Elton John when you know nothing about @&$! Elton John.

I feel fully equipped to survive any bear attack as a direct result of this show. Thank goodness there are people out here bringing us the content we need: bear survivalry and presence of cats in romance media. By the way, do you think it’s worth adding a bear-scale, since bears and bear-ness seem also to be becoming recurring themes? Alison and Rachel, as the experts, please weigh in. Also, it is a truth universally acknowledged that romance novels get a bad rap, and this shamelessly/unabashedly pro-romance show is incredible. I am not really a reader of romance novels (with notable exceptions) and I feel unreasonably attached to it. Now, I am in a perpetual state of demanding justice for romance novels. Godspeed comrades!!!

Absolutely love this podcast. Alison and Rachel don’t realize it but we should be best friends. I love their dynamic and commentary and appreciate their hot takes. Also, god speed comrades. 11/10 on the cat scale.

im never been much of a romance reader but this podcast changed my preconceived notions of the genre; now i’ve actually read a few romance books per recs from this podcast and am loving it! great chemistry between cohosts, love the banter and i make sure to listen each week.

I looove this show! AMAZING is an understatement. It’s full of well reasoned and insightful comments!! Definitely makes my commute better. Can’t wait for more episodes!! We need more podcasts like this one.

I LOVE this podcast! It really brings me so much joy and I look forward to each new episode that comes out. It’s the perfect podcast if you just want to relax and enjoy listening to two wonderful ladies gush about romance. It’s such an easy listen and feels like your talking to your best friends. Not to mention it features some very sexy books and movies!
