Must listen podcast
I mean, you don’t really have to listen to them. I think the non-English-speaking world would find it confusing. They’re probably better ones if you’re trying to learn English as a second language. Teaching English is secondary to this podcast main mission, which is ripping into movies. I have openly chortled listening to them, which is high praise for a podcast.

They’re fun
Be a lot better if they would stop pretending to be offended by everything in older movies. We get it, humor has changed but you don’t need to act like you’re so offended by everything.

The WHM Family: Movieing a 1/4 Mile @ a Time
Four friends got together, made a podcast, then made a bunch of even better sideshows, and made the world a lot more tolerable for countless people. Dogs, cats Star Wars, Star Trek, it doesn’t matter what side you’re on. Don’t get in your feelings and just have fun. NSFW, but go ahead and be a little bad. Update: What is it with all the Chris Kornkast Cabin hate in these reviews? Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve are each awesome solo but WHM shines brightest when all 4 of the hosts are together.

Lone Wolf McQuad?
Excellent podcast but Lone Wolf McQuad has to be covered. Hard to believe it hasn’t got the WHM treatment.

Chris Cabin Really Blows
I love 75% of this podcast. Unfortunately Chris Cabin exists, soley to YELL completely unfunny things into the microphone, stopping the fun and leaving Andrew, Steven, & Eric to offer some forced pity laughs as they try to get back to the fun. He is a stick in the spokes to the other talented, funny improvisers. I truly miss those good old days when Cabin was gone from the show. Shut your fat face you dildo

Funny but ruthless 😆
Definitely don’t listen if you’re super attached to a particular movie or even actor because they probably will shred it into tiny little pieces. I would say they’re a little overly cynical in general—like, you can enjoy mindless fun without worrying about plot holes or the quality of special effects—but the name of the podcast is “we hate movies” so you are warned 😁. Overall very entertaining and a good dynamic between the hosts. .

It’s Okay
Just a relentless onslaught of 4 similar dudes trying to beat the others to the same obvious punchline. So the movie content is okay but that part makes it hard to enjoy.

Decent
Show is decent when these fat virgin libtards aren’t regurgitating their god awful politics on a MOVIE PODCAST! These 4 suffer BIG TIME from trump derangement syndrome.

I hate this podcast.
This podcast isn't about movies, its about these 4 smile-talking a**holes.

Consistently hilarious
I have been listening to this podcast for years. Each episode is hilarious and insightful. The banter between the host is alway entertaining. I even love when they get WAY off topic as they try to avoid talking about a movie none of them liked. I even listen the episodes on movies I haven’t seen (or heard of) because I trust that this show will paint an accurate picture of every movie. This is a small thing but I love they they fact check details as they talk about movies. It truly is the little things that make a big difference. Thank you for the years on entertainment. :)

I tried
Cine-files and The Rewatchables were doing movies I am uninterested in, so I thought I would try We Hate Movies again after a long time away. I listened to the Die Hard II episode. Left it after about twenty minutes. It was too much juvenile humor and not enough about the actual film. These guys would do well to reduce the team by at least one, as right now it is four guys who are incessantly talking over each other, each trying to outdo the others with middle school level humor. If you want to know why this podcast was once reliable, try some episodes from five or six years ago. It was funny back then but also much more focused on the movies than it is now. The current iteration might be perfect for some. But to me it is unlistenable. Time to unsubscribe.

Not a good show
Way too much cussing in this podcast to listen to it out loud around anybody else. I cuss and most of us do, but the constant incessant F bombs are childish and totally unnecessary. If you want to listen to an actual analysis about movies, this is not a podcast for you. If you have a lot of time to waste and have nothing else going on in your life, this will definitely be a waste of time.

Always hilarious!
I love this show! It’s been a staple since episode 87 and I haven’t looked back. After This American Life (OG podcast IMHO) this is #2

The best movie podcast
The funniest, smartest, most creative movie podcast you will find, be they about “bad” movies or otherwise. These are four of the sharpest guys you’ll ever hear and at least for me, it’s my exact comedic sensibility and I bet it will be for you too. If you like movies, you should be listening!

Imitated but never duplicated
This is the funniest movie podcast on the internet. There’s a reason they’re still going strong after 700 episodes. One of the highlights of my week!

Please work on comedic timing
The body of work is good. They seem to be good podcasters and I like their insight on the movies. I just really wish they dial back on the lame jokes and impersonations and whenever a joke is actually funny, they wear it out so bad.I couldn’t get through a half hour of the podcast it got very annoying. I want to hear what you think about the movie, I didn’t come for the jokes.

Relax guys, it’s ok to like a movie. Monday nights are for the boys. Edit: This Cabin hate is hilarious, if you don’t think he’s funny, you probably don’t understand his humor.

Always hilarious
Had the pleasure of seeing the boys in Boston last year (please come back!) and love the show. Been listening and a Patreon member for years- they always deliver and honestly have helped me get through some tough times.

Great crew and extremely fun to listen to..but
I love this crew, most of the time they are firing on all cylinders and have great dynamic with each other and give some pretty funny takes on bad/ good movies. However, I feel like they need to talk to Chris Cabin and let him know he doesn’t have to try to keep up them when jokes are flowing. He has, most of the time, terrible drop ins that seem to just kill the momentum and from what I can tell, the rest of the group has to rebound from a few seconds of complete silence after it happens with a few fake laughs. Multiple times when there are episodes where Chris just seems to be in joke attempt overdrive, I have to skip forward or jump out of the episode. When Cabin is just ‘normal’ totally fine, his insight into things is good enough. Not everyone on the show can or needs to be good at cracking jokes. He is best when he is just talking normal and giving good context, facts and opinions and letting a good joke happen naturally.

I love movies
Does double duty by being funny AND triggering conservatives because their feelings were hurt.

Really good guys
They're sweet for giving Chris' subpar jokes sympathy chuckles.

One of my favorites!
I love this podcast. I totally nerd out over all of the Star Wars stuff. I love when they do horror movies, and I love when the wives come on! Keep up the good work!

My Favorite Podcast
I absolutely love the chemistry and jokes of these goofballs. They keep me laughing and make even the worst films worth watching just to hear their commentary. Just remember, in the words of Eric Szyszka, “It’s okay to like a movie folks”.
Amanda_cinemageek
I really want to like it. . .
This podcast is pretty funny. The chemistry between the hosts is good and they have some genuinely funny moments. Buuuuut some of their takes and opinions are confounding i.e. hating Iron Man 2 but praising 3. Neither one of those movies are good right? Also some of the comments they make feel low key conservative, like maybe some of these guys voted for George W. Bush. Gross. No thanks. P.S. if anyone’s looking for a better version of this check out Action Boyz. They have a Patreon (well worth it) and a free feed.

Mad jealous on the skill of everyone’s impersonations. Pods that last hour and a half plus make work fly. Thanks boys!

Total zoo crew
Couldn’t stand these guys. Reminded me of zoo crew radio. All they were short was some sound effects and a woman playing the reasonable person role to say “come on you guys”. If that your thing though, this’ll be a 5 out of 5 for you.

Good Stuff
I’ve never met these guys but I feel like I’ve hung out with all of them. And the commentaries have made abysmal films laugh out loud enjoyable. I’m also a proud Patreon subscriber. Best listening choice I could have made.

Great for Sleeping
I am only on episode 199, so maybe things get better and/or worse in certain aspects. All I can tell you is that this show is GREAT for sleeping. I don’t know what it is, really. At this point in the run, the show is not particularly boring, nor are their voices particularly soothing. But if I am having a night of anxiety, tossing and turning, all I need to do is download an episode, pop in my headphones, and it’s off to dreamland…until their blaring theme music kicks in to let me know it’s time for commercials. But hey, that’s a good time for me to take the headphones out and try to sleep without the podcast going. The only downside is that I wind up sleeping through the handful of episodes about movies I’ve seen as well. I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it through their entire catalogue, but for now I am grateful for the unintentional sleep aid.

Thanks for the movie love/hate laughs!
We Hate Movies was recommended to me after I mentioned loving How Did This Get Made? and The Flophouse. I love the camaraderie of the WHM hosts. Their jokes and the fun they’re having are contagious. Thanks for the good times.

We hate dad jokes
How and why is this show so high on the charts? They do not bring any value to the films they review and when they are not promoting their patron they are making or singing bad dad jokes. Eric and Stephen can be entertaining and should find 2 new cohost. Chris is your stereotypical movie critic who hates everything and Andrew is a humorous blowhard that makes you roll your eyes every time he speaks his mind, and this is coming from someone who agrees with his politics. This show hasn’t been good for years and has been unlistenable since 2019.

The funniest show about movies…most of the time.
I’ve been a listener of We Hate Movies for seven or eight years. I know all the running gags, and I always look forward to a new episode. I was a subscriber to the Patreon for a year. The character work from the guys is top notch. They have massive chemistry as a unit. They are lifelong friends and that comes through brilliantly on the show. When they are riffing on movies, or even offering genuine artistic criticism of a film, there aren’t many better movie shows. Which brings me to my complaint. The politics. When Donald Trump was elected, the hosts went pretty deep into the political track. Which is fine. To a point. An occasional topical joke is fine and we can all laugh at it. An impression of Trump is great, when used sparingly. When every single episode brings up politics, either complaining about Trump, or masks, or anti-vaxxers, or evil republicans or whatever, it starts to diminish enjoyment of the show. Their politics aren’t my problem, I agree with a decent percentage of their views. The problem is the frequency of political jokes and references. It is pretty rare for an episode to finish without at least one political tangent. When I listen to a comedy show, I’m listening to have a good time, or take my mind off of work. Constantly reminding the audience about hot button issues just ruins it. I would suggest the boys start a second show to get all that out of their system. We Hate News, maybe? Keep WHM fun. All that being said, I do still love the show in every other aspect. It’s definitely in the top percentile of funniest podcasts around. If you like movies, or bad movies, you can’t go wrong.

Accept valid criticism
I still listen to the show every week, I’m subscribed at the highest tier of the Patreon, and I agree woth their politics but I must say that the thing that annoys me the most is the constant whining about criticism. You guys make mistakes, deal with it! Not everyone who points this out is a basement-dweller who needs to touch grass

Lost its magic
I don’t know guys. It’s not for me anymore. I used to love the choice of movies and the conversations. I agree with their politics so that doesn’t bother me. Been a subscriber and a Patreon. Lately I’m not even listening to new eps that drop. Movie choices havn’t been great but the real reason I stopped is bc the non sensical LONG tangents (bits) they do. Too many character voices. Loud and not funny. They go way too off topic for me which I wouldn’t care at all but the voices and yelling drive me crazy and is constant. I can understand for a movie like shrek or taken (even though they did it too much on those). But to insert voices and screaming into a movie like American Pie is crazy and not in touch with the listeners. After years of listening on the day it dropped, I think American pie was the last one I listened to. I hope it improves! Happy to edit my review I love these guys.
