We Got Your 6@6 Episode 105: “Courage and Leadership“ brings us some fun and exciting conversation.  Our guest this evening is Theresa Gathers, with some motivational thoughts and shares.  She will be here to share her military / security background and where she is now. She is another of our strong women leaders,  helping others along the way.  Because of her experience with loss, she has shared her story and reached as a leader to others who may be looking for help, or not even realize they need help.  Theresa believes in going to the top and being a leader to get mental health in place for those who need it, not just in the military world, but in many other aspects with our world as it is today.  Sometimes, because of military roles, mental health issues are not brought on by stress, but by the lack of stress that they are used to handling. We cannot thank Theresa enough for sharing her story, and we will refer to her as being the epitome of courage and leadership in the world we are facing today.  We have a musician that is new to us this week.  Mike Donnell is coming to entertain us with his amazing vocals and songs.  He is coming via yet another referral by the one and only Jenn Ford~ who has been a blessing in the way of helping to connect us to other veteran musicians!  Mike has some background stories to share with his military experience, and shares his love of the brotherhood that is built with courage and leadership during the time he served.  He also shares how this history brought him to being involved with music. Mike’s wife is an essential part of his music career, and you will hear the very personal stories behind the songs he shares with us! Episode 104 brings us some fun and exciting conversation.  Our guests include Dan Hudson of Operation Check Six and our Shark Daddy, Waylon McMullan, with his new and refreshing music. Dan has come to us in a very round-about way, from around the country to our backyard here in Minnesota.  He will share the mission of Operation Check Six, which helps individuals with songwriting. There are many veterans out there who are putting their stories out there and trying to reach those who need it.  We have an amazing “Shark Daddy” with us today!  Waylon McMullan shares his story and his music during the show.  He has decided that music is what he wants to do, and the healing that comes with playing, writing, and listening to music is what he wants to share.  His ‘real’ job?  Well, playing with sharks!  Waylon is a marine biologist, and he is studying and tracking sharks. Jenn Ford has been here before, and this time she has another new release to share. Shane is the founder of United Heroes League, and their mission is to help military families heal, make friendships and engage in community through sports activities. UHL works very hard to ensure that children of military service members can afford every opportunity to participate in sports. It has grown beyond Shane’s imagination, but continues to support those who are in need. On the Smoke Pit Episode of We Got Your 6@6, we talk with Gabrial Brown. Gabriel brings his story of life, family, learning, and military experience. With all of these, he has jumped into the thick of things and is here to stop the climbing suicides of our veterans. Gabrial has created the Smoke Pit Podcast and uses it to reach out to the world of veterans and first responders. Jeff has come on board with The People’s Patriot Project, and he will be playing a role in the marketing and promotion of who we are and what we aim to accomplish. In this week’s episode, Mark and Andrea welcome Aaron Quinonez of Operation Pop Smoke! He is the Sr. Executive Director of Operation Pop Smoke, and the owner of Reliable Commercial Cleaning and founder of the veteran non profit Q Missions.  Aaron shares the story of how he wanted to make a difference, and how it is not the way of struggling military and former military and first responders to ask for help. He has created this program as a first defense for fighting the thoughts of suicide, and even preventing those thoughts from surfacing. This uses a ‘community’ or team- type approach and is really an awesome way to keep people together and safe. She shares many stories of those they have helped with their fundraising, and those they are hoping to help with this ride. In this week’s episode, Mark and Andrea welcome Eric Oligschlaeger of Cpl Chad Oligschlaeger Foundation.  Eric has been a friend for a couple years now, and he has a special place in our hearts as a #VetWarrior. The story of how his son, Chad, died in his sleep after a mixture of prescription cocktail drugs reacted badly in his system.
