Where is God in our sufferings? Where is God when everything falls apart in our lives? These are questions that we often ask ourselves, and we are not alone in asking this question because, in Ruth 1:1-6, Naomi and her family would have asked these same questions during a famine that caused them to move to a strange land, leaving behind family, friends, and property. Yet, because she was the inheritance of God, she learns that trouble and relocation don’t stop God from being faithful to keeping his promise.  

We cannot know who we are without knowing who God is. To know who God is, to know who you are. Then, our goal in life should be to seek to know God because the knowledge of God reveals our identity in Christ Jesus.
