March 13 2020 Good Morning Vikes! Today is the first day to buy your principal for the day raffle tickets. All proceeds go to relay for life. Tickets are 25 cents for one and $1 for five. More info on posters around the school and wci info account. Attention Moose Computing Contest Teams. Round 5 of Moose is TODAY after school. Please come to Rm 218 promptly at 2:25 to begin at 2:30. The Moose contest IS TODAY, IT HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED. This might be the last Moose contest for the year, see you at 2:25 today.

March 12 2020 Hey Vikes, would you like your art to be displayed at the Arts and Cultures festival? If so, submit your art in room 124 on the black cart or on the google classroom by March 13th. any and all art is welcome and will be displayed. ECOO contest Team registration is open. See Ms. Harris today. ECOO programming is a 4 member computing team contest. First round is board wide, (WRDSB) between March 25th and April 1st. Questions? Talk to Ms. Harris or the Computing Club leaders. Winners of the 1st round move on to regionals, at U of Western On, 2 WCI teams went to the regionals last year, maybe more this year? March 11 2020 Yesterday a busload of WCI ELLs went to Eastwood for the second annual WRDSB ESL/ELD English Speech Competition. Congratulations to the six WCI participants. The following won the WCI speech competition in their category: Fahad S., Shin-you D., Far-doe-sa A., Ali K. and Ab-dul-ma-jid A. All six represented WCI proudly at Eastwood yesterday. Who are they? Keenan G, Alex L, Ethan W, & Thomas I. On Friday, these four won First Prize in the JRMPC scholarship contest. They now have $6000.00 ,more for school. The competition has been on-going, weekly for over a month and was written in an almost dead, obscure language called Smalltalk. Ask them about it! A fantastic accomplishment. Congratulations to all swimmers who came home from OFSAA last night with an overall 7th place ranking in the open girls division. Tori M. won SILVER MEDALS in her 100 and 200 free and her open relay with Chapman, Katherine and Elle. Ian F. took home 2 medals -- a Bronze and a Silver in his Freestyle events and Thomas, Omar, Hugh and Nathan finished 5th in their relay. It was an awesome Meet for everyone especially our grads Kelton, Katherine, Hannah, Elizabeth Elina & Bakker

March 3 The annual ACF Brush Off is starting up again for this year's ACF! If you're interested in having fun and competing in this year's brush off, sign up sheets are in room 124 or in front of room 129! Interested in Senior Boys Soccer? Come out for a brief team information meeting on Wednesday, March 4 at the start of lunch in Portable 7. See you there. Hot cocoa day! Today in the main foyer at lunch for only $1. Support oneROOF and help homeless youth stay warm. Hey GSA members and allies! This week's GSA meeting on Wednesday is cancelled however we will see you next Wednesday before March break for some fun! Attention ALL ACF cast members. There is a MANDATORY all-cast meeting in the AUD today at lunch. It will only be 15 minutes, so please make your way to rehearsals/clubs AFTER the meeting. Attendance will be taken.

March 2 2020 Hey Vikes! It’s that time of year again… March Madness! Our 3v3 Basketball Tournament will be running from March 9 to 13 at break in the Main Gym. Everyone is welcome! Sign up outside of the gym with a team of 3-4 and get ready for some fun! ACF's food festival needs your help! Signup to volunteer on the arts board in the student activities hallway. Get a volunteer hour, help out with one of the biggest school events and have fun. Remember to signup outside student activities on the arts board! Interested in Senior Boys Soccer?
