Welcome back to season 2 of Way to Be SLP . This season will focus on life after graduate school, but will still include helpful information for those in their journey to becoming an SLP. Season 2 will feature work life balance or school life balance, managing chronic health conditions while being an SLP , and many others to come. This episode will be focused on the latter, managing chronic health conditions while being an SLP. These tips are fairly general and will be helpful for both current and new grad students. I found my CF year pretty difficult as you really start to get into the thick of everything. I would love to hear any questions or suggestions regarding topics you wish more people talked about. Please message with your ideas or specific questions @waytobeslp on Instagram or at [email protected].

In today’s podcast we are talking about résumés and cover letters. A lot of people think about the resume but forget about the cover letter. Make sure to make everything personalized as much as you can but feel free to give yourself grace as you apply to many places. We also briefly talk about having a job during grad school. For an example of a resume or cover letter message me on Instagram @waytobeslp or email [email protected]. And Remember you’ve got this!!

This weeks podcast will be the first in a series about clinical fellowships. It was requested that I talk specifically about getting a medical CF position so that is included as well today. Unfortunately this episode is quite short as I trialed a new way to record that ended up in having me to record it all again and I decided to leave some stuff out. Come back next week for part two and continuing the conversation about clinical fellowships. Stay updated on Instagram @waytobeslp.
