High brow humor with excellent beer & movie recommendations. Hunter & Chris make a dynamic duo.

Hunter and Chris know their stuff. They've got the lingo down, and they know what to look for in a film. They also happen to be skilled in conveying their critiques in a way that can be understood by movie buffs and casual consumers alike. And they do so without sounding too high on their own opinions. You don't have to be a film school snob to enjoy their reviews and recommendations, but you might feel a bit smarter about the world of cinema... It's a pleasant side effect. The personal touch that the guys bring to the table helps keep everything on an even keel. Their banter, occasional nerdy outbursts, and frequent disagreements keep things interesting and engaging. They're always wanting listener input and will read listener emails and play recordings from call ins, making the whole thing as interactive as possible. Really can't recommend this podcast enough!

As a newer fan I found this very informative and entertaining. My die hard star wars fan of a boyfriend LOVES it.

Chris and Hunter know their stuff. Both on the movie front and the beer front. Each podcast is filled with great back and forth banter and on point critiques. Pulling from pop culture, history and everything in between, you can't go wrong. This is the only movie podcast that I listen to. LOVE IT.

Plainly, perfect pacing and perfunctory pontificating are paramount to perfecting a potentially popular podcast Chris and Cates capture current cinema's core concepts and compontents with a constant childlike curiousity, cultivating a critical conversation for "cool" cinemaphiles.

If you're interested in two guys who actually know what they're talking about when it comes to film, listen to this podcast. War Starts At Midnight won't waste your time. It features well thought out and original content underscored with great music. 5 starts. This is great.
