We have a special episode today where Erika tells some of her story, living with the rare disease, Uveitis, and invisible illnesses. Erika was diagnosed when she was 8 and is now 21, so has been dealing with this for almost 13 years. She talks vulnerably about growing up an illness no one could see, how it was dealing with people who couldn’t understand and some that wouldn’t, and shares how it had affected her. Her purpose for doing this is two fold, one, to let others like her they aren’t alone and two, to let those who cannot understand, know that you don’t have to, just be there for them.
