Can wrestling teach us anything about our Christian Walk or even everyone's life journey? We delve into this topic on this first episode of Season 2 - its been a long time since the last podcast so time to kick it back up.
Praise Report - My friend and founder of the Christian Wrestling Federation is back home after a scary moment last weekend - God answered so many prayers for our brother in Christ and I am so very thankful to God for intervening in my friend's life.

With the current fear and panic going on in our nation and the world over the coronavirus, there is hope and encouragement that God is still in control.
One of my favorite generals of all time, Thomas Jackson, better known as Stonewall Jackson, had a famous quote and outlook on danger and being in the middle of a situation where his life was in real danger.
If you ask how should Christians face difficult times such as this where there is lies danger to our physical well being? Should we go out and make mad dashes to Walmart and stock up everything in sight? What is our outlook in life and where is our hope?
Our hope has always been, is now, and always will be in our blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - the rock of our salvation. When Jesus and the disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee and the storm came and the disciples were panicking fearing that the boat was going to sink, Jesus was sound asleep in the boat without one bit of worry.
Why? Jesus knew God had a mission for Him - knew that they would not be overcome by them. The disciples did not have faith that God would get them through at the time and Jesus rebuked them after the disciples woke him up screaming we are gonna die for their lack of faith.
I pray this encourages those who will listen to this episode and find that we can be like Stonewall Jackson and follow God's guidance and have the attitude of faith that even though everyone around us may be losing their heads and panicking, we can rest just as much as if the waters were calm as glass.
God bless!

Excited to bring a new series to the Voice in the Modern Wilderness podcast and share it with all of you. They are titled, "Stories behind the Music". We have sang many of these songs and hymns in church and Sunday School growing up but have we really took time to learn the story behind them? A lot of these hymns and songs were born out of tragic and powerful events that occurred in the lives of the authors that penned them. It makes you really appreciate the song/hymn so much more when you understand the real story that inspired their creation.
Here is the first of the series of episodes on this - in this episode, I present the story behind "What a friend we have in Jesus". I pray you enjoy!

In Episode 35, we will continue our series of the End Times, we are going into detail of the 7 seals, bowls, and trumpets. We talk about the first seal - The Antichrist in this episode - a lot of people have wondered who this person is - we see it in movies, in satire, people saying this politician or actor is the man but what does the Bible say about him? In this episode, we talk about that.

The Lesson of Jonah.
Pastor Jeremiah was talking about the story of Jonah at Sunday evening service and there are a lot of spiritual lessons we can gather from this short book of the Bible.
In this episode, I dive into some of those lessons.
