Amazing podcast BUT
I really love this podcast but very disappointed they removed the Richard Stanley episode. I understand there’s been allegations but nevertheless it’s a very interesting and fascinating interview with him and I don’t think it’s right to remove it. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?? Seems like the other way around these days…

Insightful and Thought Provoking
These guys are really onto something. They have the industry knowledge and care to carry out these interviews in a way that gives us a behind the scenes look as to what these creators are really all about. It’s genius.

This show is so good
The conversations are so freeform and honest and vulnerable and insightful and great. The docu-lite-feel of the open and close with a simple but incredibly catchy tune stays with me long after I finish each ep. Hats off. The bar has been set. Thank you.

Excellent!
Just finished Season 1. Enjoyed all episodes but the 2-parter with Guillermo Del Toro was especially great, very moving.

Thank you!
Wouldn’t have begun the process of trying to become a filmmaker myself without these two and the way in which they speak to their guests. Daniel and Elijah are going to usher in a ton of young blood by simply speaking. Five stars just doesn’t seem like enough.

Amazing! Underrated gem
Just listen to it. You won’t be disappointed.

So close, but no cigar
There was, I believe, a genuine push for authenticity on the hosts part originally. But it’s soon revealed in the episode with John Landis that those attempts were brought to a halt. For example, the choice to create faux conversations when first arriving at the interviewee’s location allows the podcast to slowly unravel. I was disappointed in this simply because there’s amazing artists interviewing and being interviewed. The conversations never stay in the realm of digging deep for authenticity either. Politics put a blemish on the topic they’re trying to discuss and it becomes an atypical podcast of the Covid era. There are too many “breaks” where the original jingle comes in for a moment (what what purpose, I don’t know). I’m hoping the later episodes get better in quality, stay on point, and continue striving for authenticity.

Excellent
One of my very favorite podcasts. I love the horror genre and it’s apparent in each episode that Daniel & Elijah are true fans. They are terrific interviews and a great hang.

Great
Great conversations on creativity and life. Taking the interviews away from the usual anecdote touch points provided on a promotion tour. Relaxed and intimate .

Inspiring and unique!
I love LPOTL to death but when I’m in the mood for intellectual discourse, inspiring process and great storytelling I turn to Visitations. Highly recommended interviews with unique perspectives. Keep up the good work!

So real, honest, and touching
Listening to the Guillermo del Toro episodes was so touching and real. This show really goes to a place that is hard and sometimes sad but shows the person behind the famous name. You guys rock

Favorite Arts Discussion Podcast
I subscribed to listen to the excellent two part interview with Guillermo Del Toro, but I enjoyed every episode as I got introduced to creators I did not know. I am a Shudder member for suspense & indie films, but not necessarily a gore horror fan. However, I learned about a different perspective on horror that allowed me to relate to a broader base of content.

Must listen
Unreal. Just the podcast for horror fans and film fans alike. Deep dives into the lives and stories of some of the best filmmakers around. Definitely an inspirational podcast for people who want to work in horror.

This is so well produced! Feels like i’m there with Elijah and Noah! Please do more, please!!

First-rate, insightful interview podcast
About the only fault I can summon up for Daniel Noah’s and Elijah Wood’s excellent podcast is that each episode could be a good 30+ minutes longer. Easily. From the interview subjects to the unguarded turns every interview takes, this is like catnip for anyone who values insightful, deep-dive talks with horror creatives. More please, gentlemen.

LISTEN
Such a great podcast. I love the guests so much and most I’ve never heard an interview of before. Just the right amount of time for the episodes. Elijah Wood also has a beautiful voice.

Insightful and intelligent
I had just recently think how lovely it would be if Elijah Wood did some sort of podcast and poof! I’ve so enjoyed listening as the podcast visits a group of incredibly interesting and creative people. I love the exploration of spiritual and existential concerns and the interweaving of life’s slights and trauma into one’s artistic endeavors. The conversations felt genuine and grounded. I now have a new list of movies and music to check out. Thanks for making a great podcast!

These conversations, & previous recorded genre-centric conversations w/ SpectreVision, are enlightening. The Amirpour episode, specifically the section where she opens up about the cat experience, is one of the most emotionally-moving aural experiences I've had with a podcast in a long time. Thank you so much for helping progress the genre filmmaking & filmwatching experience 🐝🌈♍️♐️♒️♾💟💗⏳⌛️🌒🌕🌘

Great!
I know it is just beginning, but this I why I love podcasts. Intimate talks with people about what they do and why they do it. It feels like friends getting together to talk, and we get to listen in. Keep it up and this will probably be a new favorite podcast.
