Great podcast on intersection of law/media/games/tech and even M&A
Rick does a great job of covering all the different aspects of how the law interacts with the following: gaming, streaming, purchasing, unionizing, Anti-Trust and game creation. On top of that, he even gives reviews on games he plays (as well as Star Wars and Marvel Movies). Entertaining and informative.

Good. Biased, but Good.
Like the updates and the reporting, I personally just need the reporting and from there I choose my standing on an issue. Could do without your point of view, but it is solid reporting. I just ignore when you start ranting.

Analysis pretty solid (mostly), but there’s more to it
Most of the time Rick provides pretty solid legal analyses, but sometimes it devolves into “wishful thinking territory”. Rick comes across as having a relatively pro-corporate opinion, which he obviously is entitled to, it’s just a shame that it sometimes gets in the way of the legal analysis. In addition he seems to have trouble to understand his limitations and when to sit one out, commenting on matters in jurisdictions he’s unfamiliar with, in such a way that its borderline misinformation. He’s at his best in analyzing corporate v. corporate cases, in corporate v. consumer/employee etc. he relies too much on his personal views and less so on sound legal analysis.

Required listening!
It should be a law that before anyone opens their mouth on Twitter, they should be required to listen to the related episode here first. Rick covers almost everything, and he has really opened my eyes to the sometimes brutal underworld of video games and law. My mother always told me I should become a lawyer, I should have listed.

Best coverage of legal aspects of Epic vs. Apple
This is far and away the best podcast I have found on the Epic vs. Apple legal battle. I think he is up to 20 episodes on this topic and they have all been very interesting and even handed. Highly recommended.

Enlightening, educational, topical and interesting
Came over from YouTube. First discovered Hoeg Law from the Sony/TLOU2 leak debacle. Hoeg does a great job breaking down complex subjects so that they are easier for us non-legal minded ppl to understand. He tries to be very impartial and honest about any bias that he may have, which is a refreshing change compared to the hyper-partisan environment that permeates social media nowadays. Glad to be able to listen to this on my commute from now on. Highly recommended.

Fun and Informative for a Law Student
I am a law student who wants to go into business law. It is hard to find interesting and informative content on current legal events. This podcast is a great way for me to learn and stay informed about current events.

Excellent Insight
Rick is very thorough in his analysis of these legal topics in video games and other social media. As a video game player with no legal background, he explains things very well and lays out a lot of the facts in a understandable manner. It’s really interesting to see an insight on this side of the industry.

A unique take on the industry
Normally listening to a gaming podcast is just to hear the opinions of your favorite personalities in the industry, they generally arent telling me anything that i dont already know from reading the forums, thats not at all the case with Virtual Legality. Rick goes in depth on a single topic hes interested in and uses his education and experience to explain whats going on in a way that anyone can understand. This is done with no bias, and most importantly, no hyperbole whatsoever that often plagues gaming discussions.
