At the UC Davis Center for Virtual Care, practitioners have access to an unprecedented array of sophisticated teaching aids, from human patient simulators that breathe and respond to treatment like real patients to surgical robots that hold instruments and respond to voice command. The Center for Virtual Care brings realism to preclinical education. It provides advanced traning for procedures as well as innovation in the operating room.

Why simulation? is a summary of simulation education and an explanation of the why, what, how, when and where. This is the first session of a yearlong Simulation Education series in the Center for Virtual Care at UC Davis.
